    Another Christmas Parade Thread

NEAT. I keep waiting for someone to start a Post Your Christmas MV Pictures thread so I don't have to hijack somebody else's.

    Solargizer

"...it is mounted on the hood..." Darwin T I've been keeping mine inside the passenger window leaning against the latch. It'll be tarped for the winter so that won't work. I take it from this post that the solar panel is generally weatherproof, correct?

    Light parade

"... I did my M813, and my 67 M35A2..." How did you attach the strings to get them to follow the fenders, running boards, etc.? Haven't found a little clamp yet that would attach w/out marring the paint.

    M105 Data Plate Mystery

Thanks to 3dAngus for sending the responsible agency plate. I got it Saturday. I think it's going to be the exact right one for the trailer. I hope to get to comparing it over the weekend with a [careful] Dot3 cleanup on both.

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Changed Drive Train Fluids Short note here. Photos of what I found here: http://www.steelsoldiers.com/deuce/73222-shaking-down-old-deuce-new-deuce-owner-5.html#post1000366

Shaking Down an Old Deuce and New Deuce Owner

Changing the Drivetrain Fluids I thought that this thread was closed out but I've decided to post here since it really is part of shaking down an old truck. There are a load of posts on what to do when you get a new truck and I wanted to document why I accepted fluid changes at first but now...

    m105 Questions

I'm new to the trailer and bought mine from an individual. I towed it home 2 wks ago about 30 mins w/ an E-350 and have pics. Howevah . . . the hitch setup and angle is almost identical to the pickup in the other thread so I won't post it unless someone wants to see mine. We used his...

EPIC DAY: Artic front installed... subsequent coolant rupture...leak discovery

"...If this is what's going to happen when I put my Arctic cover on, I'll just leave it off..." What he said. And here I was all worried about finding those screw-on spring brackets 'cause mine didn't come with 'em. Anybody know if this kinda thing happens when you just use black-painted...

    M105 Data Plate Mystery

I'll do that. Thought 3 was just for cleaning. Never thought of it for raising letters.

    M105 Data Plate Mystery

That one looks like the one on the 1st photo I posted. I'm sorta coming to the conclusion that Doghead's is it. I won't be up at the trailer for at least a week. Mebbe my fancy camera phone will be able to get a picture of the ghosts of the old print. At this point, I think about anything...

    M105 Data Plate Mystery

It's a metal data plate attached with screws. You can sorta see 'em in the pic above and in the one I've attached here. To clear any confusion: This photo shows a small portion of the main (new) dataplate on the right which is great. The illegible one is on the left and doesn't read any...

    M105 Data Plate Mystery

Thanks for the posts and the PM, JKS. The photo above is from an Internet photo because it was the best I could find in the right place on the trailer. This one is from mine - real bad shape. From the little bit of outline, it could be the same as the one from Doghead's TM but I'd like to see...

    M105 Data Plate Mystery

I have 1 plate on my M105 that is bleached out/illegible and haven't been able to find a photo with one I can read. I'd probably like to replace it if I knew what I was looking for. The plate in question is highlighted and boxed in this crop I found. Can anybody tell me what it says and...

    M105 different Lunnette

"...That hitch is worth more than the trailer is...." Emmando "...they wont sell to the open public only to a business or the military..." Indy4x4 I called too. Emmando is right. Actually, the set is worth more than some Deuces I see advertised. I'm pretty sure that you could arrange the...

    M105 different Lunnette

I can think of 2 dozen reasons why this is a great setup. Anyone know if it be added on to a stock setup and if so, what part name or number would you look for?

    Exterior Latex/Acrylic House Paints

I used 2 coats of epoxy latex porch and patio Ben Moore on the bed of mine including the sides up to the flat where the troop seats are plugged in. I would seriously consider using it on the whole truck since its satin finish is very close to Gillespie 24087 semi gloss sprayed from a can...

VETERANS DAY 2011 - Post HERE!

Lyons Veteran's Hospital, Lyons, NJ 11/12/11 Wrapped up the running around for the weekend by accompanying a small, donations-funded group that brings country western dancers, band, and DJ, hot dogs, cake, cookies & soda to the hospital for the afternoon. About an hour run out I-80 and down...

Shaking Down an Old Deuce and New Deuce Owner

I'd put everybody to sleep if I posted all the pictures I took in the last 3 - 4 months, although there are a couple in the latex paint thread. I appreciate the complimentary comments, but we're just 1st coat, lots of cleanup on the way to getting it ready for the markings. I appreciate the...
