If you can do the front, you know everything you need to know about the rear. If you've never done any service on the axles before, I recommend...
Do you have pics? I'm running MRAP steel wheels. I can take a couple pics of mine in the AM to show offset. I know there are different steel and AL MRAP wheel versions. I've seen some at auction on the web that have a heavy offset. If they stick out a bit past the fenders it is OK. The...
My buddy has G177's on his deuce also. The rear axles on these trucks really wiggle around as part of the 3 link design, not necessarily bad parts. He has a little rub on the cap screws as shown on post #4. He's ran it that way for some time with no visible wear on the tires (yet). I...
Neat concept! With the setup you have you will be loading the center rear axle at 2x the other two rear axles. I would think making the either the fore or aft rear axle retractable with a modern tag or pusher axle suspension a better solution than what you have going on. Or perhaps making one...
I think the short answer is yes. Based on this and the turbos they were experimenting with, it seems they were working on a higher HP, higher RPM, version for extended freeway use. Looking at the articles on multifuel development in other threads, this was the direction they were going in...
I posted in another thread about my transmission 3-4 shift issue and oil coming out of tranny all over my clutch. If I drain it again as a part of fixing it or whatever, any suggestions about the best oil to use? I'm willing to use a synthetic that was not available at the time.
I recently...
Do any of you have an issue with the 3-4 shift? I find my truck likes to be double clutched on this shift and is prone to "grinding" if you don't get the angle just right.
I disassembled and rebuilt all three axles shortly after buying my truck, all new seals, all new wheel cylinders (deep pits that would never hone out), new MC, rebuilt air pack, added a remote reservoir in the cab, etc. I think it's the right thing to do. There's a great thread here called...
I was giving my truck an extra checkout yesterday as I've had some issues. One of them is I've had a small leak from the teardrop shaped plate on the back of the transmission and what seems like an engine rear seal or front of transmission leak (OMG please don’t let it be the engine rear seal)...
I've had a couple brake leak issues and want to make sure they are fixed. I used oil eater cleaner and a scrub brush on the inside of all 6 tires and then pressure washed them. Now that they are nice and clean I'll watch closely for leaks.
I've also had a leak that seems to be coming from the...
Daytonatrbo,
Welcome aboard!
Your question about multifuel capability is discussed at length on this site; please take a little time to look around for answers to things like that before starting a new redundant thread or topic. Some folks get real touchy about that (something about rules)...
M35A2C Desert Tan Reporting for Duty!
I'm planning to come up Friday evening or perhaps Saturday AM with the wife and son. Haven't sorted it out yet... Been looking forward to it all year! My buddy Ed (he was there last couple years also) plans to bring his M35A2 also.
Anybody heard from Josh?
