I've thought about trying to rig up a valve to cut off coolant after it is warmed up because that water is effectively a heater at that point. Unless the incoming air is hotter than the coolant...
It's not that difficult to do. If you search (I think WSUCougar) there's an excellent thread on doing it with step by step instructions. I think the kits are available for about $90. I've talked to J&H Diesel Service, nice guys. http://www.jhdiesel.com/Schwitzer.htm
I've found that it helps to go through the full adjustment procedure the 1st time to get a feel for how it's supposed to be done. After that, I abbreviate the process and only adjust the top eccentrics. I jack the entire axle up so that both tires are off the ground a tad; this allows both...
Welcome aboard!
I think the 1st thing anyone should do with these trucks is fix the brakes and replace the seals. If you search there's an excellent StepXStep thread and peashooter has one on brake lines, etc. with lots of great info. My brakes a much better after having done so. Also, if...

Please let me know when you get it out. Also, can you give me the OD, ID and length? I'd be curious to do the calculations or FEA to see as what approximate pressure it would crack.
Yep! That’s a problem. I don’t think it belongs in this thread though (except in relation to another post on your particular engine).
FYI, thin-walled tubes under pressure will commonly fail with a longitudinal crack or split due to the fact that the stress through the hoop is twice the...
Did any of you ever download any of these papers, and if so, will you share them?
If not, I can go into the University after I get enrolled for next Semester and see if I can get them that way.
Thanks for sharing! Is there a model # & manufacturer or web site where you found that mount?
I have the JATonka spin-on adapters on my truck, yet I'm interested in filter options for my WVO\WMO setup. This parallel setup might be helpful for 2 micron or other very fine filters as they might...
As said the 3rd member (differential and housing) of the A2 and A3 are the same.
As you said it is completely ok to pull the drive axles on the rear axle, install a jig on the hub to keep the crud out, and remove the drive axle between the rear and intermediate axle. You can just leave the...
In short, rustystud is correct, as usual. I've seen many an argument over the years about all sorts of traction control differentials. Often there is a goofball that doesn't know jack in those situations. Any of the differentials that have any sort of traction control try to limit excessive...
FYI the 365\80R20's are the metric equivalent of the 14.5's used on the A3's (same height as the 11x20's). I run them singled and like them better than the 395's as they allow for chains to fit.
