Cold start capability vs overfueling with FDC bypassed

When I got my truck it did not have the FDC bypassed and it would rough start and start and want to die. If memory serves I put a video on youtube of it. I had my injectors tested and they popped at about about 3000-3200 psi if memory serves. I pusted info in here in one of the threads on...

LDS VS LDT and the real differences

I wouldn't worry about that. The multifuel capability comes from the combustion chamber design, head design, high static compression ratio, chemical compatibility of parts, etc. You're not making changes to the base design, only making mods or improvements to that allow it to generate more...

Bobbed M35A3 on "The Car Chasers"

I'm at work so this is blocked. Does this link allow you to view the proper episode? http://www.cnbc.com/live-tv/the-car-chasers

What did you do to your deuce this week?

You could try filling it with 90W and some sort of flush (a bunch of it) and running for a bit to flush it out. An old mechanics trick is to use regular ATF for a spell as it has LOTS of detergent in it. It's a bit thinner than 75-90W, but if you don't act abusive it should be fine. Once you...

    Battery Switch (Keyed)

Nice thread! I've been interested in finding a reasonably priced switch to do this as an extra anti-theft and battery saving measure. Thanks guys!

    Insane home Water/meth injection...

Aside from turning up the fuel (it likely take extra fuel to tach that high), tweaking the governor will allow for higher RPM's as the "governed" speed will not cut fuel until the higher speed is reached.

Can you send a pic? Also a pic of the plate stack on the top and bottom?

What did you do to your deuce this week?

WOW, looks like a great time to replace those short coolant hoses that lead from the water pump to the heat exchanger, etc. When I got my truck one of the hoses that came off the intake to the cylinder head leaked and it was a mess to replace without taking other things apart. Hope you can...

    Insane home Water/meth injection...

Rock on PryoJoe! Any chance you can make a video of your truck running these RPMs? You're way outside of what's generally considered to be acceptable on this site. Yet, you may be onto something, and I would love to hear what you have to say. I'd have to take a good look at the intake with...

As said above, peashooter and others have a great thread with lots of goo info on the brakes, parts, etc.

how to turn up fuel...in pictures?

I agree with doghead. I got similar measurements (pre-turbo) you report before bypassing my FDC, yet did not need to turn up the fuel afterwards. There are other advantages to bypassing the FDC, such as eliminating the path to dillute your motor oil with fuel, etc. As far as being easier, I...

    Insane home Water/meth injection...

Hmmm, I get about 8.5 MPG on the freeway in my truck. Checked one of the other trucks in the convoy at the same time with same method and got the same. Any ideas on getting to 13 MPG? Is this all downhill or with massive tail wind?

    Any more power from IP?

I agree with these guys, adding a pyro sould be the 1st, turbo 2nd, and bypassing the FDC 3rd. There's lots of info on here on the subjects, although you do have to sift through some chaff. You'll find that some people on here have a habit of posting good info, others not so much. I have a...

    Early LDT turbo

I think you are correct. All of the multifuel turbos appear to have the T6 flange to bolt to the exhaust, which is the "big" dual scroll design.

What did you do to your deuce this week?

I recently did this to my turck. A few 1/4 NPT fittings, T's, 1/4 inch tubing at Lowes ($3.49 per 50ft) and an hour or so and I was done. Now all gear boxes have a real vent that doesn't blow oil out all over my brakes...
