I just went out to the shop and looked, it's the 200 amp model. Thanks for the thread links Clinto, I had read those. I was really looking for photos of someone that had installed a 200 amp on an A2 Deuce. If this won't work, I'll take it back and just do George's (TM America) add a alternator kit.

I read a few threads about this but didn't find any photos or text covering the actual installation. I procured a 12/24 Niehoff unit today and would like to know what I'm getting into. Somebody has to be a better "searcher" than me.

I see lots of asthetic issues, the question will receive a more accurate answer when you get it running. In the mean time, lose that big chrome mirror.

I keep a maintainer on my Deuce during the Winter...some of the time the weather is not cooperative for driving, nor condusive for battery health.

I have (2) of the Model 12117's on my 003A, one on each battery. I just disconnect one side of the dogbone, and it's worked well for me for about 4 years now.

Are you charging or maintaining? For maintaining, I wouldn't use anything above a 2 amp maintenance charge.

If you would be game to remove the instrument panel and gauges, painting the back-side of the panel gloss white helps put the light back into the gauges.

If you absolutely need to have it now, I wouldn't offer a dime more than that day's scrap value.

The thought of adding the footwell lights has crossed my mind a few times.
