Heres the truck when it was in the forestry service it was a seebee truck before they got it now its been saved from the gas wrench and going to china to become something useful again.
That is common for the tailgate to crack there I just weld them back together the twisting and vibration does that almost every 1009 I bought has that to a certain degree depends on where the truck was more on road driving less cracking.
Why couldnt you take a stock aluminum rim an older semi wheel and cut center plates for them like the HEMTT wheels. I would think they would have to be aluminum plates which would have to be flanged to fit into the wheel to self index and for added strength. This should be easier than cutting...
