You have to be careful when putting them in if you stretch it you will make it to long on one sde or the other. I used a butter knife and got both bottom corners in first so it would stay centered and used dish soap they went right in.
All the correct parts were in the kit I ordered direct from the factory and spoke directly with their rep they knew what I needed. The U-bolts didnt come with the kit I took an old one from the rear and one from each side in the front and had a local shop make me a set and I went with new...
The only thing to consider is that you have to lift the body of the truck pretty high to get the springs under it. A forklift works really well for that but a set of really big blocks on a floor jack will work I was lucky everything unbolted easily.
I bought a 1009 from coweta county and would appreciate anyone that can either get it off their lot for me or just to go and check it over. Im willing to compensate for the time and effort.
I bought billet spacers from an outfit called rigged up they had competitive prices and free shipping they were sent priority mail and were good quality. I have 50 PSI in them but they are on stock humvee wheels mine came right off the humvee they were never disassembled.
Spent the day installing a four inch lift on the 1008 put a set of 37 inch humvee tires on with humvee rims too. Good part is no rubbing in front so I dont have to trim my front fenders I took a few pics.
My driver door on one of my 1008s has the skin seperating from the rest of the door I found out when the door looked like it sagged a bit. I went to repin the hinges and found lifting up the door moved it back into position but letting the door go it want back to its original position.
Thanks for the heads up I have to go right by the place where they make them locally so I am going to have them made up tomorrow and start getting things ready to get the truck done this weekend.
