Same as all the other M/F 5 tons, except for the engine .... Filters are Wix 51954 for the Oil and Wix 33401 for the Fuel... there is no Air Filtere equivalent in the civvy world.

I have a nice original with surge brakes...for $1000 here in VT, Yes, it is a M416.. 1/4 ton...and the brakes work...

RE: Bad seals It is a switch (air) which shifts the sprag from forward to reverse...It can be removed and the leaking diaphragm replaced..If you disconnect it, the sprag will not work in either direction as it requires air to apply in either forward or reverse..You shouldn't hurt anything, you...

When they were made the 24087 was in vogue...for most of em... Except those done in Strata Blue...if you are going to Desert Sand it, just use a good primer on the bare metal and spray away....I am partial to the full gloss 14087 for stateside duty in garrison.

I was there too.... Jeff has done a good job on his 5 ton tractor and now with probably a new or rebuilt booster, he should be in the stop and go business... AirPak is probably too far gone for just a infusion of OHT...lucky it worked at all with all the water in the dry side.....

Certainly is a conversion of a post 1950 M35 style truck.. Zeligson did a lot of conversions like that to deuces and 5 tons.. Should be a plate near the bottom inside of the driver-s door. VIN will be on the frame behind LF wheel... Xfer case PTO is found on a lot of conversions for running...
