Maybe I need a new bed...

You just don't get it. Those things both require two hands. If I'm using a spray paint can, I can still hold my beer with the other hand! :D

    Deuce tranny issues

Will the shifter go into the different shift patterns, or does it not just move when you put it in the different gears? How about the transfer case shifter, does it go between Hi-neutral-Lo okay? How does the clutch pedal feel? You should be able to feel the shifter moving the gears around...

Maybe I need a new bed...

I should just buy a house on the same block as Gimpy, then all my MV problems would be solved. :gimp: ;-) I've been trying to use the "Win the Powerball lotto then I could just pay somebody else to do everything except drink beer" technique, but I ain't quite figured out that method yet...

Maybe I need a new bed...

Yeah, but by the time I buy a good welder and get skilled enough to use it, I could buy a good bed and have it all painted and undercoated, and be drinking a cold beer.

    Rim lock ring question

What are you doing with the old 9:00's? Got a couple of good ones?

Maybe I need a new bed...

That mildew might be holding that fender together....

Maybe I need a new bed...

Well I went to try and knock a little drain hole in the corner of the bed when the water was deepest to drain it, I gave it one whack and two other holes opened up. I think this thing is gonna end up like Swiss Cheese if I clean it up. I kinda figured it anyway. And with the tail all boogered up...

    Marengo Show buy/sell/trade

Anybody know if that construction at SR 61 and I-71 is done? I think they were completely rebuilding the bridge over I-71.

    military convoy

Enroute to where? (you don't have to be specific, I mean like to a range, FTX, etc) And I imagine it was all crated, not in mags or trays.

    military convoy

Other than blanks and Pyro, I've never seen live ammo just go to the field. It always went directly to and from the range and the ammo dump. Nothing stayed out overnight. Range control didn't clear until ammo was turned in. But that may have been different overseas in Germany or something...

    military convoy

Real convoys aren't carrying ammo. They may have weapons, but ammo is very tightly controlled. The only time ammo is off base is if they are using a range that is not directly on base. Most ammo is shipped by civilians commercially. As far as the black suburbans, I'd think they'd use faster...

Extra Storage Space for your M109

My only criticism would be that what are the provisions for keeping out dirt and water?? Are there drain holes in the tray? If it were mine I'd think about a vinyl cover with snaps to keep the drawer protected somewhat. Other than that, great job!!

    Marengo Show buy/sell/trade

Wow, I should check this forum more often. Anybody gonna have any axle boots for a deuce? If I hit the lotto before then I'll also be in the market for a bumper, fenders, bed, and since I'm dreaming about winning the lotto, a new, never used engine in the can with a C turbo.

    M35A2 Turn Signal Flasher Repair...

Would a heat gun (for removing paint) work, or is that too much?

    rear facing T case pto

It would have to be one at least 8' wide to be worth it. Probably even a Batwing mower.

You could also power a generator.

    CHOCK those tires!!

As another alternative for chocks, I make mine out of treated 6X6's. I cut an 8' in half to make it easier to handle. I then set the blade on my 10" table saw at 45 degrees and set the fence 1" from the blade. (blade tilted AWAY from the fence) Then I run the 4' pieces through, and flip them...

    Names on your deuce

We never did that in the Guard, but then again, if you're at the PX and your name is on the truck, or you're going a little fast down the street on base, they're going to know who you are.

    What's your Deuces' name?

Hells Belle without a doubt!! I think I'd be honored for a relative to make that request. What would be really cool is if he had some nose art on his plane that you could recreate on the truck.

    What's your Deuces' name?

I looked around for a thread on this, but couldn't find any so here goes. I think I'm going to call mine "Super Jeep". I have a Jeep JK, and it's a Kaiser so I think it fits. I was also thinking of "Hummer Who?", but I'm going with a Vietnam era paint job so that seems a bit out of...
