I cannot help with all of your questions, but there's no way that the spring could make it through the feed lines and injectors (the two-hole orifices are about 0.011-0.014 inch if memory serves). I wonder if it is possible the spring broke and fumbled along past the drive gears into the pan...
Right now we've got the following meeting in North Portland at Jantzen Beach at 6PM:
Starkeypdx Rich in a Silvery dodge pickup truck crew cab 2006
Josh will be towing a WC54 ambulance
flatdog555 is also coming, but will not be able to ride up with us. I'll try to have a spot waiting for him...
I only have 1 other person (Josh) confirmed to leave Portland for the event on the evening of the 19th. Plan to leave out at ~6PM from the Jantzen Beach area. If anyone else is interested please let me know.
My sympathies bones1. I haven’t had my truck that long and am planning to bleed the brakes this morning before going to work. I’ve been going through a few iterations of using engine degreaser and pressure washing, but still have some caked-on crud on some of the backside of the hubs...
Anyone leaving for this event from Portland please let me know via PM. Planning to take the day off Friday and hope to join in with as many as possible.
Hey wait a second! How much beer will you bring? Can you turn a wrench? How about home-made salsa? Foot massage with a hot saltwater soak?
I'm hoping to have a group to meet up at Jubitz in N Portland on Friday and travel both ways together. Any extras appreciated.
Yes, three cheers for Al Gore, inventor of the internet. HIP-HIP-HOORAY! HIP-HIP-HOORAY! HIP-HIP-HOORAY!
Can I have dibs on putting your Elvis toast on eBay? Likely worth a mint! Yust kidding, everyone knows it would have to be Justin Beeber to be worth much nowadays...
Earlier in the thread (post #3) I provide some info on this. The local injector shop will rebuild them for ~$25 each if the tips can be repaired or replace with your tips. That is a a very reasonable price and make it not worth the effort to mess with them yourself. They also come back super...
I don't know if these nozzles will work with all of the types of multifuel injectors out there. I don't think any more are available right now, it looks like between two Oregon guys - flatdog555 and mobileauto2000 - they picked all of them up. Perhaps they will have more later or be willing to...
I would recommend removing what's left of your hoses and measure the outer diameter of all of the connection points, which will also give you an over-estimate of the size of hose (internal diameter) that will fit properly. Generally, hoses should go on just a bit snug. I think you'll find that...
1) Installed new exhaust elbow with welded fittings for future post-turbo temperature and pressure and drilled and tapped the exhaust manifold for future and current pre-turbo temperature and pressure. I removed the turbo to do this because I’m not about to risk any damage to my baby. As it...
Thanks for the info on the wheel cylinders and other info, especially peashooter (seems to be an engineer). He's obviously resourceful and puts quite a bit of time into keeping his truck in great shape. I haven't had my truck long enough to get around to much of this, so he's a ways ahead of...
