Uh, yeah she's cute 'n all, and the music's okay and I like the bang bang, but the video is kinda boring and pointless. You need some kind of story line.
A '71 would be too new to have a 4 speed. I seriously doubt any one would put in a 4 speed tranny old enough to go on a gasser, as it would be more in demand to retore an older truck to original condition.
I'll second that! Why would you want to load up a deuce with crappy beer when you could pull up to the dock at the Sam Adams brewery and get some GOOD stuff!!
I was going to suggest something else, but thinking about it. using two 10 or 12' ladders with a 2x12 attached to all the rungs would probably be quite strong. I'd use conduit clamps, two per rung the entire lenth to attach the 2x12 (I'd use carriage bolts not screws). You could throw some...
That's what I'm doing with mine, athough I'm using spray cans and working MUCH slower. So far I have the front bumper and hardware done. :-| Your's looks awesome, thanks for the inspiration.
Well I just about got all the bumper parts painted and ready to go back on. (Still gotta locate some pieces of frame for the extention) I think I'm gonna mount it in the winch position, which made me think, why do they mount it with the narrow part up on non winch trucks? It's obvious why...
All you need for the tire carries is a cable (1/4"?) and a plate with two holes to fit two bolts in the lug holes. You're missing the pioneer tool rack, which should be easy to find with the tools. And good deals on covers pop up often. Nice truck, is it a turbo?
You can also be more versatile by getting additional pulleys and straps to have a change of direction while still winding your spool in a straight line. You can use a large tree or another truck to attach a pulley when you can't line up your winch to the truck being pulled. Of course your...
Quick, before they see you, search insurance and new deuce owner on this site. It's not well recieved here when you ask questions that easily be answered by a simple search. You shouldn't need a CDL for a deuce since it's under 26K GVW. Do some quick reading before you pick it up, Just do a...
They had the manual sitting right next to the trucks for reference. As part of the training some newer tires were being put on to replace some worn ones. These guys are doing it right.
Well I had a good experience with Bob and his group so I thought I'd give this thread a bump. These guys put together a search and rescue group from members of their church and a grant from their national church group. They have a couple of nice deuces and trailers and some nice equipment...
As you describe it, never. I would never try to shift from low range to high while moving, I don't think it's made to do that. First gear high range is low enough to get you moving. And 5K in the bed is the max. capacity for off road, you can go 10K on the highway. Empty, I often would start...
