The M104/M105 Family... 900 or 1100 rubber..values like above... I have a nice clothing repair shop...all aluminum which mounts in a M105... nice waterproof multidoored box to store your flea market stuff in...$800 here in VT. ACE
Now you know why Motor Stables are a requirement for all MV on a Daily Use Basis... Lots of stuff can go wrong on a 50 year old vehicle which has had 50 drivers and non drivers working its pedals ... Did you know that the pintles on early M35s had 3 grease fittings? The third being hidden...
If it hums, it may not know the words to the song.. However could be as simple as the armature being dirty or a hung up brush.. Where are you getting 24V on a F250? Possibly not enough amperage... what does your voltmeter do when you try to run winch? Etcetera... ACE
RE: Alternative feuls in M1009?
Lotsa folks have conveted to American Fry oil...but costs outweigh benefits in my estimation. Heck, the M1009s get 25 mpg to begin with...ACE

You can have them sign a lawyer generated waiver, or you get a separate liability policy.. In some states you may have to have seat belts and the list goes on...ACE
Each and every wire has a metal tag with a number on it.. they are the same for all MV.. The codes are available in many forums, but of course they are in all the manuals, too...If you are towing a civvy trailer you only need 4 wires and you can just find em with a test lite and use quick...
You really want old ones.. real surplus.. cuz the newer ones from the land or rice and tea are made of crummy non ozone resistant rubber in most cases... Get some fresh made US ones from one of the old line dealers.. ACE
The M44 was the Chassis Truck 6 x 6...used to make all kinds of special applications.. It would have had 6 11 x 20s, and not the 10 9x20s... that would have been a M45 Chassis They were used to make Fire trucks, and stuff for the Corps of Engineers etc... ACE
You take off the negative from the front battery... and then the negative from the rear battery cuz the positive from the front battery is also the negative from the rear battery...but you are smart enough to keep any of the cables from touching any metal other than their respective lead...
Remember that there are two types... the round ones and the rectangular ones.. early versus late.. btw I have a brandy new one for a 5 ton for $100 ACE
