Could be stale diesel on the sending unit that's causing a short on the resistor portion, fooling it into thinking it has a full tank. Mine was like that and fixed itself eventually after having been driven around with fresh diesel splashing on it.

Anyone have experience with parasol's vinyl dies? They seem to have a greater color selection than SEM and will even color match for you if you send them a sample. But they're a bit expensive. Like 90 bucks a quart.

Driving my winch truck around some areas with lots of deer, I used to worry about hitting one and it tearing up my oil pan or something. But then I realized that the winch is probably going to prevent any damage to anything that far back.
