well, I might end up doing that...
Drop height was about 6 inches and I tried to drop them flatly.
Battery one was at 4V. Dropped it a dozen times and now it reads 2V.
Battery two was at 6V. Dropped it 20 or so times and now it reads 3.83V.
I don't know if this is normal, good, or bad. I'm...
well, I would think that would stand a good chance of breaking the plates themselves, but I'll give it a shot.
I've got a couple of batts that read 4.5 and 6.7 respectively.
Could be stale diesel on the sending unit that's causing a short on the resistor portion, fooling it into thinking it has a full tank.
Mine was like that and fixed itself eventually after having been driven around with fresh diesel splashing on it.
well, we wound up putting the tanks on with the skids pointing lengthways right up against eachother so the skids mated to eachother.
However, the trailer was about 6 inches too narrow to put the pump in sideways, like it would logically go. So the GL yard guys loaded it on lengthways on the...
Interesting possibility.
If that's the case, 4th and 5th should be in the traditional (for every other manual truck) positions, right?
Scooter, show us a picture of the shifter in 5th gear.
Anyone have experience with parasol's vinyl dies?
They seem to have a greater color selection than SEM and will even color match for you if you send them a sample.
But they're a bit expensive. Like 90 bucks a quart.
Mark and I picked up mine Tuesday.
Drove on base at 7AM and waited for the GL people to show up. Then the office lady led us over to the yard.
Then we swapped out batts, checked fluids, and she fired right up! Aired up tires, checked the brakes, and we skeedaddled. All told, it took about 20...
Driving my winch truck around some areas with lots of deer, I used to worry about hitting one and it tearing up my oil pan or something.
But then I realized that the winch is probably going to prevent any damage to anything that far back.
I really don't want to try that if they're searching cars as was mentioned above.
Guess I'll call and ask. Of course, just asking will probably get me on some sort of list...
If I had one of those old POS 1890s Mosin revolvers, I really wouldn't feel bad about stashing it in a toilet at a gas...
How does one declare a firearm and/or check it at the gate entrance?
I'm driving 500 miles up and 500 miles back to pick up a deuce at fort sill and I really don't want to travel unarmed.
That's just it, tho. He didn't harm anyone. Nor would he have been harmed if someone else bought them.
The line of thinking that someone else having too much of something or making "too much profit" somehow harms you is a dangerous one.
The lady at Fort Sill sounded doubtful about me being able to drive it out the gate but I've seen and heard of alot of trucks that just needed minor TLC like brake bleeding, a little air pressure to break the WCs loose, new batts, etc...
I live about 500 miles away, so if someone local with...
