i saw my first short-tailed deuce about 3 years ago. been trying to get one ever since! (well part time anyway)
i am probably going to have to pass on this auction.. again...
I just cant seem to get the logistics in place in case i do get one...

this is like the fourth auction i had to bail on... im about to give up
i know what the website says about previews but can anyone show up and look over the stuff thats up for auction?
of course the site says no load outs on friday but it also says loadouts on monday and friday somewhere else too...

I started out wanting a 1008 then I saw what you could do with a deuce... you might end up changing your mind too!

Mine is "IT Manager"... But like you, most times I find myself doing all kinds of things that have nothing to do with the IT field.
Sometimes I threaten to start driving a truck for a living!
I honestly couldn’t say for sure what trucks would or wouldn't be considered rare. I just don't have the experience...
I live outside of Washington PA. So I have been looking at trucks that are up for auction at Mechanicsburg and Columbus/Dayton. Unfortunately, lately things have been slim...
Yup, you got it!
Frodo I dont have an MV so the 24v isnt a problem yet, but I'm actively working on that!
The ups I have is a 1500va APC, I can turn off the alarm and it's rated for 100% duty cycle. But it is a much larger ups so the cooling aspect has been engineered into the...
For a moment I thought you were doing the same thing I am doing with it. I took out the batteries on mine, added some big alligator clips and voila, instant inverter!
paint was kinda the way I was leaning... I can only imagine the story behind it...
on another note, I wonder what bobbing an M36 would be like? Anyone try it? would the only difference between it and an M35 be longer leftovers?
I was looking at some trucks that are in Mechanicsburg and I came across this one that looks like the inside was either painted or got dunked...
what do you guys think?

I thought of something else that might be an option. It could be complicated and potentially expensive though.
Has anyone given thought to changing over to all air brakes? Are there even parts that would remotely come close to fitting?
I’ve had a CDL for years so it wouldn’t bother me...
Please bear with me, this will probably be long...
I should elaborate as to why I haven't bought a late model truck already. The First is that every one that I have found that is even remotely close to me has gone for way more than I have to spend (I only have so much to work with).
The...
The braking system on the M35 is the sole reason I haven't gotten one. I would love to have one but without some sort of brake redundancy, I just can't do it.
maybe I am making a mountain out of a molehill but, if there is a better system to either build or buy, I am all ears!
Please keep...
Bryan, I live in Prosperity. I would love to check out your truck. The only ones that I have been close enough to touch were at the Washington fair when the guard unit was trying to talk the kiddies into joining... the other one was at Judson Wiley concrete when one of their drivers had...
