after reading your post again i think the flex ring is coming apart. the coffee grounds material you described is a classic symptom. i think its shutting down due to the material cloging the check. after you remove the check i dont think it will be long before the ring is gone.
thats a 3 kw variable speed diesel motor very cool. id like one. it is a tqg very quiet 70 db or below. comparison to the 701 or 16b apples and oranges. just lost power here this morning for 6 hrs. started off with a 003 thought i might need heat dont need it, or any a/c. so i shut the 003 down...
if its bent a little down or up its hard to notice. of course side to side is easier. touching the sol. at rest is ok. take a look opening the hood a seconed while running and under load.
tm5-6115-585-34 change 6 7-5. shows the linkage adjustment. somthing like 1/4 free play. also clockwise rotation of the spring decreases droop counter clockwise rotation then will increase droop.

the air box safty is high temp/cutout it would reset if good, check the wires as storeman /jerry, sugested you can jump this switch out if bad. on the opposite side i think your refering to the low oil preasure cutout. you can also jump this switch if its bad. on the fuel pumps if the emp filter...
yes. but i had to try it. just wish i was cofident its the injection pump. thought maybe someone else had same problem before. hate trowing parts at it. suppose i could try to come up with a compresion gauge. i have one just have to figure how to adapt to the glow plug hole.
this gen. had set up about 8 months. had been working fine when last used. had moisture in the fuel tank, filter cans(cleaned new filters). injection pump had stuck plunger. was able to free the plunger moving in and out and rotating in bore now. getting short bursts of fuel to the injectors...
this is one type i use 2 bank 8 amp. marine waterproof 3 stage auto charging. i can keep it plugged up to maintain the batts. or if the charging system fails simply plug to the conveniance outlet. i have it mounted on the trailer fender $80.00. thats another charger in the third photo bottom...
I did mine similar to jerry applied tension on the puller and i tapped the end of the crank with a mall ,then tightened the puller more and repeated the process until it poped off.
i think your right jerry. i dont recall the breaker size it was my daughters house. i just know this was the max. surge of the ac, 112 amps 240. 17.6 to run
my old 4 ton unit states 26amps to run and 46 surge.
i had similar thoughts this year posted a thread. i wanted to start 2 1/2 or 3 ton central unit with the 002. rla was the killer. 17 240 amps to run but the rla was 112 240 no way the 002 would do it. i used a 003 for this ac this hurricane season and it made the meter jump real good. so check...
ditto nothing wrong with mulitable sets i aquired my oo4 because of the price. got it for $750.00 somtimes the deals are on the bigger sets as we all know the 003 is very popular. .5 gph. more than the 003 and the sound is easier on the ear than the 003 to me.
