you will have more than enough motor with the 004 (44hp) as compared to the 003 (18.5) so you will be limited by the head. with the mod. about 13kw on the 004. your 003 will do 12kw. so you might think about the 005 you should be able to get 25 or so out of it with the mod.
amolavor whats not correct? i turn the voltage up 127/220 run all my stuff and a/c. my a/c can use 208 or 240, but i havnt seen anything that would run on 240 not like 220. no lose of capacity.
ive had several of these stick. i think they get dirt mixed with the grease inside, anyway i loosen the studs holding the switch together except the one you cant get to in the back i think and it usually works. once i get it on 120/240 i dont mess with it.

the coil could be bad. i know i have a few of these somewhere. ive also used the slick rhe work fine. you really need a timming light on these once they have been removed.
if not connected to your house connect to the ground rod at the gen,. if you connect to your house remove ground rod connection at the gen. unstrap the neutral/ground bond on the gen. and ground to the house ground rod.

i have used a preasure washer to clean the fuel tanks out, remove the tank and hardware first. run the cheap oil first until your confident you have somthing. like others have said get the tms from the resourse section above. good luck
is it equipped with a starter? i had to add the starter and slave set up on mine. if your gen. doesnt start with a couple of pulls you have somthing wrong. i was having similar starting problems starting i would get intermident firing. ended up changing all the electronic ignition parts it now...
the float is ruined once exposed to the ethanol fuel. i still have the unmodified float on mine. their are several places that sell the 100% gasoline close to me so i just dont use the ethanol blend in this engine.
i use a preasure washer for the bad ones, remove all the hardware first. this will also reveal any pin holes from rust in the tank. change your filters and wash the cans.

gut the check valve remove the ball, it will run fine without it mine did the same thing. my pump was pretty bad on the inside but runing clean fuel through it for a few hours cleaned it up on the inside.
