    foam filled tires

Don't know about that goo either, but putting a plug in it isn't going to work. Can't plug a tube, and there's no way you'd get all the "goo" out, to patch it if there's even a tube in there. Don't see a valve stem in the first pics where I would expect to see one. If there is a tube in there...

    Drivers side alternator belt. Opinions?

gates 7575= 58.13"L X .38"W gates 7570= 57.63"L X .38"W I don't have a CUCV, but belts are belts. All belt #'s are a relationship between length, and width. Once you figure out what the #'s mean, you can figure the correct # for the belt you need.

    Valence's M66 Gun Ring

Oh, okay, that's what I was thinking. And your using different stuff on the outside. Is the plan for two layers of the closed cell foam on the tunnels, or one layer of the Butyl, and then the closed cell on top of that?

    Valence's M66 Gun Ring

Looks good Valence, Makes me want to do the inside of my cab too while I have the seats out for the dual spring seat mod. So for the tunnel covers: "Insulation on transfer case tunnel and transmission tunnels x2 (double layer of insulation if there's clearance enough)" Are you planning...

    Hood removal

I'm not that anal. I never gave it a second thought. I was just looking for the seat tracks and just stumbled upon it. Heck, I didn't even know what manual to look in, I just picked one and I got the right one on the first try. It's all good.

    Hood removal

Yea, it's definitely doable without removing the "map compartment" :D, but I made larger, thicker reinforcement plates for the hinges, so taking "a" minute to remove the "map compartment":D for more access room was a no brainer. I also put washers on the new bolts, so it would have been even...

    Hood removal

I think that's the best answer. I was able to remove my D. side hinge through the Gauge panel opening, get a bucking bar in there to reform the cowl, and then mount a bigger reinforcement plate all by myself. For the P. side, remove the Glove box. I never thought to read the TM's for that.

    painting the exhaust

I used the BEHR PREMIUM PLUS ULTRA. It has over 30 hrs of driving time on it. Has discolored a little on the lower third of the muffler, but the rest is still the same as when I painted it. I ran it through several short heat and cool cycles before going full out driving around.
