It's funny (not that someone got hurt)that when we're doing someting that we know we should'nt, we keep doing it anyway. (Been there done that, more than once) Hope your recovery goes well.
I took two 3 step stands I got from from Sportsmans Guide, cut them apart, welded them back together as a 2 step stand, and a 4 step stand that I can use to get in the back of the Deuce. A little heavy being steel, but that's all I have right now. Not quite sure how to use the 2 stepper yet.
34094 for "383" carc green for any brand. I've used the 34094 from HD, Lowes, and Sherwin williams, all appear identical after drying for a couple weeks.
The pedal shafts have notches in them that the bolt rides in. You have to take the bolt out, adjust the pedal shaft up, or down, line up a notch with the bolt hole in the arm, and then reinstall the bolt, and nut. Safety feature so if bolt comes loose, pedal shafts won't just slide throught the...

Just as Deuce is spelled "Deuce", not duce.
Approximately 9"W(width being L-R) x ~7"L x .125" (11 GA)Thick. Had to give it a slight roll contour being that thick. Length was about an inch shorter than the length of the cowl. (front - back).
I would have used thinner steel, maybe as thin as .078"(14 GA),but I had .125" laying around.

I know on the M35A2 there is a reinforcement plate under the cowl just like the one under the hood.
I took mine out, reshaped the cowl, (because it was dented in around the hinge's), then I made and intalled larger/ thicker reinforcement plates, installed with a urethane structual adhesive...
