Some air pacs do not have the plug at the rear of the canister I have two trucks that had plugs but the 53 studebaker had none it could be just an omission on earlier air pacs.Im sure my air pac on the studebaker wasnt original as they upgraded it to a diesel engine and air shift TC years ago.
I go to the junk yard and find the trucks or vans with the keys still in them if there is a door key just pull the locks.I had a box of them in the shop each set of locks and keys in bags a lot of the chevy trucks still have the keys still in them at the yards I go to.
If the truck still shifts hard after checking the vacuum lines PM doghead he has NOS regulator valves I bought two of them it will shift like a new truck.
I lifted the body three inches on mine to get the engine to fit but there seems to be enough room under the fenders for a bigger tire these are 48s on it now.
I never stop just look straight ahead and go all the trucks Ive driven home I have never ran them through a weigh station and was never stopped. Most of our cops are hiding behind the toll booths checking for seatbelt violaters going for the easy money anyways.

Yes it does they deduct their tax from what you paid in the state you bought the truck but if the state you bought the truck in had a lower tax rate you pay the difference.
In illinois we pay tax when we get the truck titled they deduct the amount owed from the amount paid if there is an overpayment I will never see a refund from a state that will go after you for a quarter.
A few of the 6.5s I bought had F7 codes on them after being rebuilt reasons listed was excessive blowby the engine just needs to be run in after everything seats and the rings are seated crankcase pressure is a non issue.
Mike let me check out whatever truck I wanted I helped him out several times with questions about mechanical issues some trucks had so he could accurately describe them in auctions.
