Here is what a bent boom looks like. It is a nice gentle bend... Notice the fish-plate/angle iron welded towards the front. This has a go 4-6" bow in it.

RE: Help - M998 Won
Check fuel delivery to the injectors buy cracking open the line to one of the injectors and crank. Look for fuel to be forced out. If no fuel, then check fuel filter. Then check to make sure the IP 24vdc solenoid is geting power or it died or your mechanical pump died...
Funny one Chuck! Trade was meant for a gathering point of people picking up auction stuff for others to help save on fuel costs, etc.
Maybe Curt can chime in on a winter swap meet. Clare would work since they have a big rooms for meals, etc. plus the big parking lot. The CA guys have it...
Hello,
This is the first time I have ever saw that early style of door latch. My WC56 is 12/42 production date and the scrape lines in the original paint layer showed the later style. Very interesting latch and thanks for the link.

Lane,
Well it is just a thought. I know a lot of planning has to go into these shows and having a person say lets move the dates might torque a few gourds (rightly so). However there seems to be less mv things going on the middle of June then August here in MI and even more so in the winter...
Bill sent the photos out so I thought I would post this awesome one :D My hmmwv pulling a cdn101 with a deuce tranny about to be lifted with DaveP's wrecker and Lane being the boss. No one can say we don't use these toys! Again, thanks for the pictures Bill!
On a separate note, perhaps we...
Hi Bill,
I received mine 2 days ago. Thanks for taking the time to put that together and mailing them out. Good idea with the label...so it is not tossed out!

RE: Here
That really bites! It looks like female writing to me, too neat for guy. Maybe their message is stating that you should use number 2 fuel oil?!
If the cavass was wet then perhaps it will keep the paint from setting in and with recommendations above, it should mostly come out.

Hi AMTAK,
Yes, I did not change them since only a small amount of material has to be removed and it does not compromise the safety of the brakes. If you are starting with a complete frame build up, then you should have an easier time. You are more than welcome to come visit, turn wrenches and...
Hi Mike,
This is mostly true. However what I keep running into is the po had a hired wrench turner who did not take the time to read and then install. So I am cleaning up their work plus moving the project forward. Once the running gear is finished to my standards, then the tub assembly will...
Again, in between work travels and home time, I finally got around to placing the snout/splash sheilds on the truck. Looks simple but a LOT of things need to be lined up just right for it to fit and have proper clearances. I also fitted the rear half shafts and found that you need to trim the...
Cevon,
Do you have a ground harness installed? If not, buy one immediately from a vendor (kascar) or make your own. The engine block needs to be bonded to the grounds of the: dash stud, controller box, generator, starter.
Also, go to the manual section of this site and download the necessary...
I have said it before and I will say it again and again...Thanks Chris for a great site! This IS the best mv site on the internet, period.

Ted Gates
On 6.2 for hmmwv's, you remove the rear electrical tack and then use a drill to turn the oil pump shaft. On hmmwv's you have access to the rear of the engine easily, on m1008 you may not. Another way is remove the glow plugs, squirt a little amount of marvel oil into each cylinder and then...
Kevin,
The pin that I have that came from this type of mount as shown in my picture is 5.5" of gripping (base of handle to locking balls). Diameter is 0.5" exactly. This should work unless someone drilled out your station and riser. This pin is new surplus with lanyard. Very good condition...
