A thick gasket goes between the sponsons and fenders. There are special hat type washers used for that area too. You need to at least get a Parts TM so you can see what the hardware parts are. Once you have that, you can figure out how to install the big parts.
I forgot to mention that you can cut out the hole with a disk cutter and not damage the fuel tank parts that are below. There is not much air space there, but I did it with no problems.
Just do it like the foto shows. No real advantage to make it wider and you know about the under cross braces so you will never be able to remove the fuel tank plate/cover so the standard hole gets the job done just fine. My opinion is that four screws are the best way to mount it, because to...
The Fan on a Humvee is already within one inch of the second cross member so you really can't move the engine forward. Use electric fans at your own risk.
From what I heard, that vehicle had a slip yoke and a U joint connecting it to the rear diff yoke.
Are you sure that they used flat paint for the red and white? No need to hide an ambulance and I have a new soft top that has the scapp pattern and the red and white are definitely not flat. More of a low sheen or semi gloss.
Oh and have you thought of changing things up a bit and painting a...
Try plumbing your "mechanic in a can" via the fuel lift pump. You can connect a hose to the fuel pump suction connection and put the other end of the hose into the bucket with the Magic juice. You will need to connect a little hose from the fuel return line to go into your little can too. That...
You can do a search on e bay under "95 Hummer Throttle Position Sensor" and you will find plenty of them for sale. The ones with the pig tail are what I have seen on Hummers with the 6.2 and it is not anything special to the hummer. It is the same thing that General Motors used on thousands of...
OK. Does your the part of the TPS that you have look like a sort of butterfly or hourglass where it contacts the throttle shaft? If so, I think you can remove the plastic bit that is on the throttle shaft and the cross pin that goes through the shaft, will operate your TPS. Does that seem to...
OK so you have now been to your first Rodeo. Now you should know that if things like engines are normally started as part of the description process and can't be started, the whole driveline can't be test driven and that must be a consideration when bidding. An excellent looking and seemingly...
It could be a weak injector pump not putting out enough fuel pressure at idle to operate the injectors. You could try and increase the idle rpm speed and see if the problem disappears. If it does, it would rule out the shut off valve and then you could start shopping for a new injector pump. It...
I have new turbo heads in their original crates. These are for the top mount turbo which is the only way to realistically turbo the Detroit engine in the Humvee body.
You actually have an extra flex connector there so you have all you need. Just flip the turbo over and you will see where the exhaust connections are. Have you installed turbo heads onto your 6.2. If you haven't you need to get them or you will not be able to mount those intake manifolds.
There are parts that are for use on Serial Numbers 300,000 and higher so they made more than that. Probably won't be surplussing to Civilians any REV Models for quite a few years though.
You are right that they were able to be registered for "on road use" but the bill of sale from the auction house said "off road use only" clearly typed on it. I went to the Ca. DMV and got a on road title for it with no problems back in 1999.
You may have a cracked flex plate. The cracks are usually around the area circling the bolts that hold it to the crankshaft leaving the outer portion and the torque converter to move around.
