The site owner has set forth certain rules. He has tasked the moderation staff to apply these rules. No disrespect meant but your post number on any other forum is of no relevance here. Why is it so difficult? If these rules, that you agreed to, are so egregious, why did you click OK to accept...
The most important thing is to look closely at the joints and make sure you are bending them in a manner that they can bend. Sounds basic and rudimentary but many frames get broken for this very reason. Take your time.
The bed is around 12,000#. In order to safely manage it plan on hiring a big tater or a crane unless you have friends with 2 5 ton wreckers. That's what it took at the 2012 GA Rally to safely manage moving a wrecker bed onto a truck. Let it sit for a while, come to the GA Rally and sit a...
How did this happen?
When I switched out all my MVs from deuces to CUCVs, I invested in AAA. Sometimes (not always) it's faster to call them than to self rescue with a towbar or trailer.
Any 81-87 (up to 91 for the blazer and 1/2 ton sub) 4x4 10 bolt axle will work. Check for bearing...

Radios, sounds like we could use a combination of MURS on the trails and at rally central and...
There are many TMs for these trucks and we do mention them often. With that said, the operators manual can explain lots of these basic things. At least go through that manual pretty completely when possible.
Invest in a tire company unless you have extensive fabricating skills. The ackerman angle isn't adjustable and it set up for 154" wheelbase. Front tire wear on the 142" wheelbase trucks is very evident and amplified. I would imagine going down to 130" wheelbase would be exponentially worse...
If a new inner fender at a steal of a price appeals to you, contact Gimpyrobb. Delivery to the GA Rally is almost guaranteed. FWIW there was some issues with the weight of the factory 6TL cracking that inner fender. I don't know what the 2 batteries you have weigh but I'm pretty sure one 6TL...
Something to measure before settling on a bed. I know you said it had the wider rear axle from a dually type pickup not a CC axle. I would still measure the cab to axle length to confirm it. There was a cc with the wider rear axle. It was referred to an ambulance chassis. 56" cab to axle is...
