As much as I know it would be a real hoot to have a mini gathering, I am almost certain that JT will be bringing the truck and trailer like he did for MTA and ABERDEEN.
I will try to persuade him, but I know better than to promise.

Hey, I am getting ready and looking forward to driving the deuce to the show. A couple hundred miles one way....
Heck that's nothing compared to Carnac's trip's !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Your family needs a ground guide; also known as "SOLDIER 'B'"; as per regulations when they back up a vehicle.
Write em' up for non-compliance and tell them that any damage they cause is coming out of their pay plus they will be on report and have extra duty......

If you go to Radioreference.com you can look every FCC license issued for the area you live in. Unless the signal is low power, or else black ops the user must have a license.

I ran my deuce 2500 miles in the last 12 months. I have the LDS motor and it gets between 6 to 7 miles per gallon. I live in a fairly rural area so it is easy to get around here. I would not be as willing to get into the little back streets of some old New England town if I did not have to...
If you do not bring the pitman arm of the steering box and the knuckle arm into alignment every time you hit a bump, lean slightlly in a curve or any other lateral motion will cause the vehicle to have a serious steering instability. It will seem jumpy at best, and almost impossible to handle...
You can use either air pack as the shorter one has an extended boss for the rear bolt to thread into. Otherwise the air and hydraulic connections should be the same.
You can get a rebuild kit and also the proper instructions in the UNIT MAINTANENCE TM's on the site.

I am still having problems with the page draws when I open a thread. In this I am saying the coimment window where you type goes off the right side of the screen and is not visible, and the sliders to more the screen in my browser do not extend as far as the text goes.
This also occurs if I...
I have a nice 1944 PE95A that has the FORD ONY engine in need of a water pump.
Does this use the same pump as an 8 or 9N? Any help would be appreciated.

The brake system on the deuce was designed to stop the truck, or slow the truck with the designed load. That is 5 tons highway, and 2.5 off road. As designed they were built with overcapacity. The words I saw mentioned that the ability of the brakes to dispiate heat are way beyond what a...
I like the remote filter idea. I would consider taking a remote adapter and adding to it with aluminum to fill the void that is there from the damage to the block casting. Once you are close, slather it with High Temp Silicone seal and the put it on permanently..
You may have to manually machine...
Well, my story runs about the same as all of you.
Zout I agree wholeheartedly with your sentiments about people who are in over their heads. There are many who should sell and get something a bit less "mechanical".
Also, like you, I had the tools and a lot of experience, more than enough to...
The question I have is this: Is the paint oil based, or a latex? If it is a latex, is it simply exterior latex flat paint?
I ask because I have a formula for Valspar exterior high quality latex that is right on for the green in the three color nato green. $20 a gallon. Actually holds up...
Depending on where you got your truck, you can find the thread that CARNAC has in which he takes the vin numbers on your truvck and with some other information can tell you the history of your truck. I say depending on where you got it, because if you bought it used from someone, they could...
Have you checked your vent? Sounds sort of simplistic, but if the vent is plugged the only place the heat can go is out the pores and narrow spots such as the input shaft.
These are often over looked on axles and become the sources of leaking seals, but the transmission has one too as well as...
