I assume you have checked all your connections to make sure they are tight, have installed the extra bracket on the starter, and checked to make sure your batterys are up to snuff.
Given that, its likely that the starter relay under the dash is acting up. Do a quick search for "starter relay"...
Looks great!!!
I would suggest moving the controller though... its a long reach to it where you have it, and it will make it very uncomfortable to use.
so dfn.... you didnt have any trouble with the napa filters fitting? Over on www.smokstak.com they say something about they are too short, and have some flange in the way....
Hate to be a bit of an ass.... but if you spend some time flipping through the CUCV forum, you will find many of the pictures you are after. Most people like to show off their mods, and post things as they do such mods.
Use the schematic to understand the function of each wire going to the relay. Replace it with one similar to the Glow Plug Relay. (more of a solenoid) You shouldnt have trouble with it anymore after that.
Good to hear you got hours on it JT.
I think my first step is to get good batteries on them. Then I need to work from there.
If anyone tries to use the original fuel filters, let me know what cartridge you use, and how it fits.
I'm not really sure yet. One gauge isnt working, and the other has only been run from a slave cable.
It almost would appear neither are charging, but I havent looked far into that.
What makes you think yours isnt charging?
