    You might also want to check your thermostat. Its common for someone to stuff the wrong one in (a most 'cheap' parts places sell the wrong one). When the wrong one is used, the water pump will hold the stat open, and it never closes.

    no... there is a reason engines have thermostats. If your temp is too low, you wont burn the fuel efficiently.

    Here ya go.... This should help you tremendously. If you were to replace the relay with more of a 'solenoid', you would use the large terminals on the 24v wires.

    Bjorn, the purpose for this relay is to switch the start signal from the ignition switch to 24v. Remember, 99% of the wiring in a CUCV is 12v.
