I'm planning on 16-20 michelin xml's. I think they should fit okay. I believe the tires on there now are 11-20 ndt's.
Guess I'll put them on craigslist and see what happens. I just don't want to end up with 10 tires kicking around for too long...
I just bought a 70 xm813 and I am already getting geared up to do what I should have done on my last m35a2... SUPER SINGLES!
Are the stock NDT wheels and tires of much value? I am not certain if they are really worth trying to sell or not.
I'm shopping for a 5 ton now, and I want an M809 series or newer. I spotted this the other day and am planning to look at it tomorrow. The winch is gone, which is a real bummer, because that is one of the things that I am specifically looking for, but I guess I can locate one seperately.
What...
I sold my Deuce and now I'm sure missing it. I am getting ready to start my search for my next big toy and I want to go REAL big this time. Are there any HEMTT's out there yet?
I know the price is gonna be up there, but are these even available to the public yet? What is the best route for...
Well, like I said, I think he's gonna try to find something else - so it's really a non-issue anyway. I was mainly just curious if I should have any other inquiries from Canada. As far as I am concerned it's not my problem how it gets there. That's the buyers deal.
Thanks for the heads up...
The guy that contacted me was definitely no scammer. He's really looking for a deuce, maybe just one a little cheaper then mine. I feel for anybody that is subject to these lame inspections and audits.
How in the world is anyone going to get a deuce that has absolutely zero fluid weepage and...
I had an inquiry recently from a guy in BC about possibly buying my Deuce. I have a clear Washington State title, but I recall the previous owner talking about end-use documents, etc. It wasn't really any concern to me, as a US citizen.
I doubt I am going to sell it to the canadian, but it...
I keep the top lever straight up normally (daytime) and flip it over two clicks (all the way) to the right at night time. Are you saying up is off? It seems like I have always had signals before when the lever was straight up. I never mess with the left lower (brightness) lever.
I took the Deuce down to the carwash today, and I noticed when I left that the trunsignals and brakelights are not functioning without the headlights being turned on. This is new.
Any ideas? Where do I start checking?
Speaking as a former police officer, and a Deuce owner that drives his deuce all over the place with collector's plates - here's the deal in washington State-
In Washington you are permitted to drive up to 2500 miles per year to and from shows or events, OR for non-hauling trips for the purpose...
Oh, sorry - it's an AM General M35a2 W/O winch. That was what I was thinking it might be also. The truck was a base firetruck prior.
I'll post a pic tomorrow, or bettery yet, I'll just get down in the dirt and crawl under and find out ....
I have a lver of some sort down next to my parking brake handle. I just noticed it today and didn't have much time to investigate it as the weather is turning pretty ugly in the NW.
Can someone clue me in on just what that lever is for? It looks like it connect to a rotating rod that goes...
I am curious - can anyone here think of more then 1 vehicle currently in production that comes from the FACTORY (not a tuner shop) with anything BUT a paper filter? I can't think of only 1 possible vehicle, but even that is a stretch....

I don't think you are going wrong anywhere. But I think you should trust your gauges, and not your seat-of-the-pants impressions. Your pyro will tell you most of what is working and not working. I agree with you saying that regular oil changes are more important then the filtering capability...
I can tell you from my experiences hot-rodding Cummins diesels that you will not see any noticable performance improvement from running a K/N in a Deuce.
The reason I say that is not because they are a bad filter, they are a good REUSABLE filter, but that trait is what makes them useful to...
I tried to figure mileage, but it was tough. I burned real close to 100 gallons of diesel. I traveled 850 miles. That should put me somewhere in the neighborhood of 8-9 mpg.
I tried very hard to hold the tach right at 2500 rpm and not go past that. My gps showed that as 60 mph. I am sure...
here's two more.
By the way, in case I didn't mention it.
We drove straight through. 38 hours total to drive down to SF, and back up north of Seattle with the Deuce. We didn't stop except for fuel three times.
I have a new respect for drivers of these things...
I wanted to post a couple of pics from my trip Sunday to go get my new Deuce. It was the one I got on Ebay on Christmas for $3250 near San Fransisco, CA.
