i would certainly measure them and check for scoring, but these are usually in sets, and once you get in there..... its amazing how quickly you end up with the engine in pieces...
Im a bit worried that the cylinder will be scored, you can certainly replace bearings and rings with it in the...
Update
I pulled the generator apart, and saw that one of the brushes was broken and worn down. i ordered a rebuild kit from midwest military and replaced the brushes, but it still didn't go. I had it tested at the generator shop and the armature is shorted... (a "growler" is an interesting...

I verified that the truck is not charging... Voltmeter across the batteries shows 24 volts and doesn't change when running, not running..
Also shows "yellow" on the guage... i'm very sure its not charging

Im designing it to integrate with...
you could wire an H250 to it, but there could be some differences in the impedance between the two, which would manifest in low signal or too high... I've wired funny mics to the Cobra LT stuff before and they "work", (purists may whine, but it will look cool)
im not too worried about keying or...
this part of the requirement worries me..
There are the kind used in Firetrucks, but few that are "portable" and get ready for some $$$
I'm wiring much of what your talking about into the VIC1...
