Thanks for everyone's input. We have no plans at this time to turn this truck into a true brush truck. Indian pump sprayers are probably as far as this truck is going to go!

This is truck will be used by our storm spotters in the field instead of their own POV's, additional crew transport for wildland and structure fire, command for any scene, blocking at traffic accidents, firefighters can use it to go to class out of town, etc. So, yes, it will DO a lot.
Hello Forum:
Our fire department just came into possession of a CUCV Blazer. Have a question that I am sure has been answered before, but, I don't know what to call the equipment. So, what is the two blocks with wires running into them behind the passenger seat below the window for? Trying...

Hello Forum:
Anyone have a suggestion on how to build a power cord for running power into the box on a M1079?
We are OK with not having three phase, just need to get power to the light fixtures and the wall plugs.
Any help or guidance is appreciated!

Oxy:
We have a military diesel generator (two soldier lift size) hopefully that will work to power up the box. Otherwise we may have some rewiring to do.
I hope some folks that have the M1079 will chime in with what they did to put power on the box.
Thanks again for the reply.

Oxy:
Thanks for the reply. So just to clarify, the majority of the power for the box needs to come into the box from an outside power source, like a stand alone generator?

Hello Forum:
We are hoping to pick up our M1079 on Tuesday. We have not had a chance to get into the weeds with it, but, have had a question that has come up. What provides the power to the box? Does the power come from the truck itself and is there an inverter that converts the power to 12...
Hello:
Thank you for the replies so far. 98G where do we get the Peashooter adaptors? Dave, besides price, what is the difference between the one piece and two piece rim? Personal preference?
Thanks again.

Hello Forum:
There is some scattered info on the Forum concerning the conversion to super singles for the Deuce. Our VFD has a 1969 American General that we have put about a thousand bucks into tire repairs and replacement in the last couple of years.
We would like to convert the truck to...
Juanprado and Forum:
Only problem is we aren't sure how to get the parts M977 moved 2.5 hours to our location. There are three for us to pick from so we are confident we could find one with a good radiator, just having a problem with the logistics side of that deal.

Hello All:
It is leaking from the top and the bottom. Here is where we are at: a new one for 3450, a core for 2375 and then 800 for the shop to do the work, and a used one for 1600. And we have been offered a M977 to use as parts for 3K. Further opinions?
