What is the correct part number / replacement fly wheel. I just had my starter rebuilt and want to replace my flywheel but I don't know if I should trust the ones that are coming up on Advance and Autozone.
That sounds great, but I would have no idea where to begin to do that. What kind of tools, parts, etc would I need.
Where would I get power.
I think I want everything to stay on even when the ignition is not on so phones, etc. can charge.
I am new to wiring and I am wanting to add some things to my CUCV but don't know where to start. I am planning on putting in a stereo with four speakers, two cigarette plug adapters with three ports each (one in the front, one in the back) and someday, a high powered LED strip across the front...
My truck is making a noise every 2 out of 10 starts now that sounds similar to when you try and start a vehicle that is already started. Last night I shut off i the Mcdonalds drive through and it went out completely. I rolled it out and let it sit for 10 minutes and it cranked right up.
I...
Do I need or want a solargizer? I have looked and looked for different opinions on here but can only come up with how you should / should not hook one up, but nothing on the benefits or risks of having one or not having one.
Tailgate
I have an original CUCV Tailgate for sale that I am getting ready to post on ebay. From what I can tell, it is basically just the shell. The main brackets are there, but the tension bars (springs) are not. Shoot me an email to burt35@hotmail.com and I will send you pics if you are...
Booster
Is there any market for selling the two that i have now? I know that i can turn one in at the auto parts store with core pricing.
How hard is the swap out.
It seems simple enough and seems easy to get to, other than the brake pedal.
This topic has been covered, but not my actual question.
I have a bad booster leaking power steering fluid down the inside firewall into my D-side floor board.
My question is this. Should I replace the booster with one from Autozone, Advance, O'reilly, etc. that are all readily available...
Tailgate Window Jamming
I am having a similar problem with my glass. I just installed a replacement window last night and everything works fine, but 1 / 3 times rolling the window up, the window frame along the bottom, catches on a piece in the middle of the tailgate near the crank. I kept my...
As far as I know, law enforcement doesn't have any problems with auxillary running lights, my wife's Honda van came with them.
I will probably run a separate switch to be mounted on the dash somewhere. I want 2 sets.
One to increase my normal driving lights at night, and one off-road or...
Think Lone Wolf McQuade
I want to install 1, possibly 2 sets of Aux. Driving / Fog lights on the brush guard on the front of my 1009.
Where is the best place to run the wires for power. I didn't know if I would have to go back through the firewall into the fuse panel or if I could just keep...
Neither one of those heater core models match up to the one the mechanic pulled out of my truck. They seem to be universal the 399077 or the 399079 (advance auto, oreillys, auto zone, Rock Auto, napa with AC or Without AC, there seems to be no other options
LMC has one but I will bet that it...
Where do you get a replacement heater core?
I found mine through autozone but they gave me one for a blazer w/ AC. I returned and they gave me a replacement that I could not install. I took it to my local firestone and they said that I had the wrong one and that the two that they ordered would...
What kind of wire do I need to get and where on the fuse block are the three places where I can hook up to 12v
Can I also hook up cigarette adapters to these places and run multiples off of each connection on the fuse block
I have tried to hang tough but I am going into my third month driving my CUCV daily without music and as much as I like to hear my diesel, I miss music on those long drives.
I don't know anything about automotive electrical work, I have no idea where to even begin, or what I need
I bought a...
What would cause a M1009 to appear as if it was leaning on one side in relation to the other. When I look at my truck from the front or rear, it appears to be lower on one side than the other.
