RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: I
I tried the silicon thing and it didn't even sputter. Maybe I got the wrong stuff. I am currently in the process of replacing the mechanical pump but its time for work now, so that will have to wait till later. I thought of a hand pump too, but I couldn't figure a way...
Re: RE: I
Its at a bank parking lot. I rolled it down the hill so its sitting relatively flat now.
No
I'm going to get a small funnel today and see if I can get fuel in there.
RE: I
It was running good previously. I parked it on an incline and it restarted briefly and then it shut down. Of course I say it was running good based on my 2 weeks of really driving the truck. It could have been running at a diminished rate the whole time and I'd have no idea.
I guess I just realize that the diesel cycle is much more efficient than any gas engine. There is also the fact that people seem to be leaning toward diesel engines and other non gasoline powered transportation and I'm not sure how much gas will be available and how much the cost will rise in...
Its not like these things are speed demons as it is. By towing with speed I meant 30+ mph. I think a 6bt would compliment the drive train of this truck very well. I'd get a 6bt and try to adapt a manual trans to avoid the issues with dodge autos and to make the truck better and more fun to drive.
If you want to tow with some speed, why not swap in a Cummins and do it right? That is a distant plan of mine. That would make it one hell of a beast. My truck tows alright through the mountains of Virginia. You just have to make sure you have plenty of time to get where you're going!
So these wheels come with a bead lock insert and runflat or is the runflat used as the other part of the sandwich? Is this o-ring something that needs to be replaced when you take them apart, or can you reuse the o ring? If you need to replace it, where can they be purchased?
RE: I
I was cranking on and off for the whole 2 hours I was with the truck. If the mechanical pump is strong enough to pull the fuel up with only air in the lines then that must be the problem. I couldn't even find the injector pump when I was looking for it. Where is it? Also, what is the...
RE: I
I just got home. I had to borrow a friend's van to get back for the night (the truck is about 40 minutes away from my house). If anyone else has any more info they'd like to share I'd appreciate it very much.
What I've tried so far:
Filled the filter with fuel and I was cranking it...
This is Tyler's girlfriend (I'm posting for him)... His truck's out of diesel and he's stuck on the side of the road in Salem, VA. He says he has more diesel in it but can't get it to start. Can someone who can help please call him at 540-580-0664. Thanks!
