That's not good. Maybe it came loose from vibration. I would pull another out match, replace, and pull/replace the gascket.
The aircompressor is lubed by engine oil. The only thing that takes air compressor oil is the air pack on the brake system.
I like the idea of lining the hood with Armiflex. My question is how to adhere this product to the hood? Either chemicaly or mechanicaly how do you keep it from coming off?
I would lube the air pack and bleed the system per the TM. A full brake inspect should be done lines, hoses,......everything.
Just my thoughts but I never reuse brake fluid.

Even though those bolts in the shaft between the transmission and transfer look tight you should put a wrench on it.
Put the transmission and transfer in neutral. Rotate the shaft around and use two 3/4" wrenches to tighten those bolts. It's a very common problem for them to come lose.
