your talking the Kenora Harborfest car show in August? They had it last year, don't see why it wouldn't be happening again this year. I couldn't go last year because of work though. But if you were showing up with the five quad, I might be sick that day for sure haha. And I hear ya about the...
Yeah, ill have pics in a week or so. Truck isn't at my home location right now. Keep in mind this setup was only on the vans. The pickups had the submersion type fuel manager bolted to the back of the intake near the firewall. stay posted.
hey! nice truck, wish I saw that 5/4 for sale. We're almost neighbors being 2 1/2 hours away in Kenora. Had 5 cucvs now just have the one M1008. You ever wanna sell the 76 you let me know! haha
every time Ive seen them up at govt auctions with winches, they usually just had the old school warn winch bumpers or some massive tread plate custom made bumper that was done by someone on base or local I assume. other then that the above posted one by petersens is pretty mint, or what most...
Along with the fuel manager, using a fuel filter head from a 96-02 chevy van with a 6.5 diesel is a stanadyne fuel manager aswell. GM# is GF647 and the filters are WIX# 33537. Also 5 Micron. Has a fuel heater, WIF sensor and a bleeder. If you modify the plugs on the truck its 100% compatible...
An older friend of mine worked in the Canadian military as a mechanic during the 80's. I showed him the picture of the engine bay. He says remembers them well. He said some canadian trucks has diesels and some had 350's. They were totally identical trucks just one gas and one diesel.
-42C or -43.6F. my M1009 started right up. unplugged. two cycles of glow plugs. 60G's work the best. and thats with 0-30 synthetic motor oil and it started just fine with just the high idle activated. I even made a video of it lol
okay, thank you guys for the input, Ive been in contact with the CBP now for a couple days and I seem to have found a good officer who has the patience to figure this out with me. And GL knows exactly what Im doing and doesnt seem to have an issue with it either. As long as it doesnt have an EUC...
well GL says that the DEMIL designation can change at any time, so i didnt know if they just got lazy and sometimes they list it and sometimes they dont and then just require it at the end. I know gsa is a little easier to buy from because of that and yes it does say in their terms of agreement...
I have been in contact with GL, CBP and the US Govt. CBP accepts SF97 documents for exportation. Now I asked GL about which trucks have EUC's and what that means exactly. as many of you already know, it means no selling to any "foreign entity". I have american family but it makes no difference...
i was tinkering the other day and i noticed the engine pull bracket on top of the motor had a dog tag on it, it has stamped SCCV 11 FF. does anyone know what this means??? i assume SCCV might mean service? im not sure. any help would be great. thanks!
its like, the card isnt giving it enough voltage, who knows. its gonna wreck the relay quicker tho because its
constantly arcing when it gets to the end of the cycle. i think i might take the fusebox off and take a look. because
with the key on i checked ignition voltage at the plug connector on...
I have a 1985 ex-coast guard m1009, anyways, my old glow plug card took a dump and so i wired in the ground switch for the old relay. Well i wanted the automatic system back, so i went to advance auto and bought the s603 relay (same as st85 only 50 bucks cheaper). I also bought new ac60's...
