Good point, lots of common items, such as headlight switches, turn signal switches, blackout lamps, composite lights, etc. Although, those could be addressed in the electrical section?
Like Big Mike says, there are very tight tolerances in an injector pump. One single piece of dust or lint can create big problems. The injection shop I deal with has a "clean room" similar to say a place where they manufacture silicon chips or something. I've never torn into a deuce injection...
Sounds to me like one of the relays under the dash is missing or has quit working. One of the 1009s I had showed the exact same symptoms. There is a bracket located behind the dash right above the STE/ICE connector that holds several Bosch style plug in relays that you can get at any auto parts...
Sounds like time to rebuild the air pack. They go out two ways...either your brakes stick like yours did...or no brakes at all!! The air packs are simple to rebuild, having the manual handy is not a bad idea though. Pictures are worth a thousand words sometimes!

I don't use the clutch in mine, but since it is a synchronized transmission, you are supposed to. Eventually you will tearup the synchros. I've already replaced the tranny in mine once because of it.
Rattlehead, good looking truck. That expansible box will sure give you plenty more room over an M109. Can't wait to get my M109 done though, that will be a fun camper.
