Black smoke is unburned fuel...in other words wasted fuel. To get that you increase fuel delivery into the cylinders, which also results in additional heat and without a pyrometer to monitor exhaust temeratures you're asking for trouble :skull: Adding fuel will also increase manifold pressures...

I'd go with a B-D or a Pac inline brake, just my opinino though as I have not had any experince with the Blue Ox brakes. we've never had a lick of trouble with BD or Pac.

I do like the sound of the new Banks mufflers, glad ya didn't leave it polished stainless, and whatever you do please don't put the polished tip on the stack :nono: :lol:
