Make sure you put a couple more gallons of fresh fuel in the tank. it never hurts to put more in incase the fuel pickup is set too high and you THINK you have enough fuel. I think we all including myself have over thought problems and it ended up being something simple. i agree with everybody...
Yes, I believe so. The difference is the 900 series air pressure gauges are a full sweep gauge. the M35A3 had a full sweep also. I put a 900 series gauge in my M35A2 just because I like that it is more accurate and easier to read if the pressure drops a little. That was just my preference in gauge.
I love the way my rapco went on. i suggest buying the gallons and using a regular automotive spray gun set-up to spray it. the paint takes a while to harden up where it wont "mar" or scratch.... but it sure does stick real good! i didnt primer mine or anything. i just used a DA to sand it down...
How many hours have you used the generator since you have had it? Would this problem have at all cured itself with additives? I know these generators are not multifuels but would adding some clean new ATF to the tank help clean the system and the plunger button? Again, I am not a diesel expert...
I looked closer at my top last night... that thing fits terrible. I wish i had a picture of it. I still have the box, ill try to get the cage code off it, if it is on there. What is the cage code for GMA?
Wow, I would not have thought that was the problem at all. Did you end up adjusting the valves before rebuilding the IP? It seems like if the IP works when it is cold, it would work when it is hot. I have not had as much Diesel experience as other people on the site here though. I just think...
I was more talking about the knuckle boots. Brake hoses are easy. I already bought the hoses from eriks military surplus. (thanks for the PM Joe) Brake hoses is a touchy subject it seems. I agree its something that should be taken seriously.
PAFARMER,
How far are you from Kublos? Im not that...
The new cover I bought for my truck didn’t even line up with two of oval holes on the door frame for the quarter-turn tabs. They were a little bit off. Also the edges hang down a little bit more than my previous top, so the windows could hit it a little if they are rolled up too high. I am sure...
I was wondering if there is a difference in soft tops for whatever contractor is building them for the government. The reason I ask is on both corners of my cab above the windshield has an opening large enough to let water in I’m sure (have not driven it in a downpour yet). I don’t believe my...
PAFARMER,
you are bringing a deuce this year?? What’s the special occasion? You always bring the Cherokee! Haha! I’m interested in seeing your deuce too… there are many like it, but every one is different.
Joe,
Cherokees are awesome. Not Grand Cherokee, just the regular Cherokee. Take good...
Thanks Joe... ill try not to! im just trying to be like gimp. smash the trucks up and walk with a limp... although does he limp on his right leg or left? humm.... mine is on the right. haha!
I have an old WWII generator that i would like to trade for something if somebody has something they...
If everything else seems ok, then check those two clearances. Im sure the TM has the specs for it. Mine never acted like it was skipping though.... just "hunting" for the RPM a little. I hope that explains things good.
I had an issue with my governor on my truck. the throttle shaft housing that bolts on the IP that has 4 bolts. I don’t know the exact names of the parts but my problem was the clearance between where the throttle shaft connects to the torque arm (I think that is that is it called). It basically...
I’m with Speddmon on the valves. He knows more about these generators than i do by far. When i started reading the thread i was thinking the valve adjustments in my head. My MEP-002A only had 5 hours on it and i know at 50 hours i have to adjust the valves again as part of the break in. If you...
$47 just to pop test all 6? That does not sound bad at all. I got a quote of $120 i think to do mine. I did not have them done though. I reused my washers too. New ones would have been nice. My does run good though. I am guessing the truck still has a misfire? Another thing I did before I...
First off, welcome to the site.
The only thing is that I am not sure if the home heating oil has enough lubricity for the injection pump. You may want to add some additives to the day tank on the generator from time to time when running the generator. I know some heating oil tanks could...
I just get the small bottle of fluid and use a clean pinkey finger to check the fluid level. Add fluid as necessary. All respect to other peoples ideas though.
