Here's some pics of the tank, in and out. Had a thin layer of crud in it, I just hosed some of it out to see. One flange has a slight bend to it, looks easy to fix. Out side of the tank is 99 percent rust free. Saw two small spots with light rust color.

Got one here in ohio for 75 bucks. No pump or sending unit, nice shape, can set it with citzensoldier(lane)'s stuff, it's heading north sometime.

Just looked at the tank picture. They weren't smart enough to pull the tube and screen out, so very little dirt should be in the tank. I'd brush the top off and pull the tube out, maybe do a little shopvac work, and should be alright for a short run..
Damn I'd be pissed. If you still ain't out, give me a buzz tomorrow. I may be able to drive up and help late tomorrow. Long drive, and normally wouldn't try, but that's a load of crap right there. I'd have the M108 with crane and winch....

Once loaned a generator(10hp tecumseh, 5500watt) out to a friend during a ice storm... told him to check the oil. Not entirely his fault, it would run out of oil before it ran out of gas(7 gallon tank). So yes, he ran it out of oil and locked up the motor. Paid half the cost of a new kohler...
Think it would take a heck of an A/C setup to cool that small cab. First thing is to plug all the holes in the fire wall and floor board, and use shifter boots on all handles. Lots of hot air from the engine makes it's way in there. May have to insulate the cab also. Window and door moldings...
Looks good. Pretty common mod, lots of us are using a Napa muffler. Search deuce and muffler, plenty of info out there.
With the D turbo and napa muffler, M35 is pretty quiet, as compared to other trucks.
