Dang dude, that's some funny sheet right there. Wrench had to fall perfect.
I made an alignment tool on the lathe out of an old chunk of broom stick, worked perfect. Should have said something, would have gave it to ya... can always make another.

Could be pilot operated checks, where the pressure from the top of the cylinder opens the check to allow the cylinder to lower. That way, if a hose breaks, nothing moves. Very common in manlifts.
Just had this problem on a man/boom lift, it was bad internal packing. That being said, I would check the easy stuff first. I think that is a garwood crane on the truck? Kenny's manual is for the austin/western cranes. Need a hydraulic diagram/schematic to be of any help. It could be a load...
I don't have that either Kenny. Might be nice to have, couple of times I've take off and hear the crane running because I forgot to disengage it. Is there any reason to use the crane, and drive at the same time?

Motor now has a D turbo, with muffler, and is really quiet, for a deuce. Much quieter than other...
Here's some finished for now pics. Looks a lot different! And runs a lot different. Took about 15 miles, and then it was warmed up enough to hold 50-55mph. That was with the 6000lb trailer behind it. Sounds real good, no problems there or on the way back, put about 140 miles on the truck...
That was us. Trying to get up to speed, takes like 15 miles to warm up all the way.

Just got the timing adjusted, and 20 mile drive. It's much quieter, other than the loud exhaust. Still a little clatter, but not bad. Also found and fixed a couple oil leaks.
Hmm.. didn't hear about the wrecker no show...
Truck is together, finished the hardtop and a couple little things. Also installed one of the tank dome lights, I love it. Low light is perfect for driving, and the high light is nice and bright.
Went on a 40 mile drive tonight. Engine clatters...
It's not a relief valve problem... it's replacement cylinder problem. Tractor came with those cylinders, which were replaced at some point. Going to try and find a stock set of cylinders from a tractor junkyard nearby... or replace the rods.
