If we put Kenny's and mine truck together, we would have a good one!
Here is the thread after we decided to replace the drivetrain.

Yep, that was the only thing holding the axles under the truck.
Honed and rebuilt all the wheel cylinders. Some had rust pitting in them, but was where the piston rides, and not the seal.
DOT 3. Used Kenny's infamous pressure bleeder, work like a charm, again!
Took a nap in the...
Didn't think about the off-camber idea. I believe it will be okay, but I'll put the truck thru some angles and see how much the torque rods twist. There is a gap under the plate, of 1/8-1/4 of an inch. I will get some pics up when I find the camera.
Went out today and ran the truck up on...
And a BIG shout out to Dan, otherwise known as therainbowboxer on SS, for coming out and helping. Idea is for the truck to go to Findlay, Marango, and Haspin.

I guess I could call it M35 gasser repairs instead, since no repairs were performed/needed on the crane. This is all to get it road ready, its been a yard truck for too long. A lot of parts came off a parts truck(multi) I had that was in good shape.
Start with the engine.(pun!)
New belts...
This is an idea I stole from the Canada deuces. Trimmed the rubber off the side of the torque rod ends, drilled and tapped 1/2-13 thread, then bolted on a plate with a spacer washer. Now if I lose a torque rod end, I don't lose an axle. I can get underneath with a prybar and see if any went bad...

Well, I have two... but one is smashed flat, so no line for you! BWAHAHAHA!
If you want the flat one, I can send it your way. Just have to splice in a new piece, it's flattened in straight spot.

Why lucky? Because of RPMs? The gasser version of the M35 doesn't have a tach, haven't blown it up. Put the Multi in neutral and floor it, it is governed to 2700-2900rpms.
Or maybe because I didn't get a speeding ticket.:-D
Transmission PTO is always on with the clutch out, one direction, one speed,(other than more engine rpms.) and not rated for full horsepower of the engine, I think it's 30hp, but the actual figures are around. Plenty for a hydro winch.
Transfer case PTO has the 5 foward, one reverse gear, of...
