If there is exessive play in the gears in the steering box it can cause binding also .

You would be better off spending the money for a oil sample test over believing the milage , if your concerned about the condition of the motor.

You may have wiggle lines a few different ways to get the angle right . Just kinda hold the fitting to the threads and move the line a little till they catch , but screw in by hand . Don't cross-thread them .

You have to check the box on pm's you want to delete , then make sure delete is marked when the chioces at the bottom pop up.
