OK, covered the cargo area with 2 coats of Hercoliner and front area with one coat cause then I ran out. Originally had a gal. Not too concerned about the front as I am covering it with sound and heat insulation and a new vinyl floor.
I plan on painting my M1009 with the same camo pattern it came with. I would like to put a base coat of 383 green and then add the black and brown. Will a gal of the 383 cover the whole vehicle?
We'll I got my M1009 a while back and now I'm fixing it up into a reliable and clean looking truck. I've already did the starter relay mod and the usual fluid maintenance. Going to Rhino coat the inside floor and just try to make the vehicle clean looking. Started out by removing all the seats...
I am looking for an adapter that will attach to the NATO slave cable receptacle on a CUCV Blazer. I've got one on my M1008 so I can use my older 2-pin jumper cables. All my vehicles have the 2-pin receptacles. Been lookin around and all I find is the adapters to change a 2-pin to NATO. Are these...
OK, I double checked the threads and a 3/8-18 is the correct bolt. The first one that I had tried was messed up and I had to chase the threads but the others are fine.
What options are available for a M101A1 with the M37 rims.? Are there any other rims out there that could take a tubless tire or am I stuck with the split rims? I really don't want to buy another trailer to lika an A2 or A3.
I want to install a water can holder in the back of my M1009 on the corner bracket in the cargo area. Does anybody know what size bolt that the four threaded holes take?
Just installed the Doghead starter relay and I notice that when I first crank the relay makes a noticable SNAP. Is this normal? The engine does start okay.
I just did another college film. My duece, M1008 and a militarized Polaris Ranger were rented for it. Not a zombie flick but kinda a war drama. My stuff was only used in a flashback in the movie, I'll look to see if I got any good pics from it.
Remember these are student films that they make for senior class final sort off. There only about 30 mins long hence the 3 day shoot. But it was still a lot of fun. Kinda like a 3 day camping trip and getting paid for it. I did another one a couple years before this one, never saw that one...
Since I've decided to be more active in this forum, I thought I'd post some pics of a film college movie that I helped out on by renting out some of my MV's. This was done last year out by Johnson Valley in the Calif high desert. It was a 3 day project and an absolute blast. Story line is...
I just got 2 of them , one for a spare and one for my son-in-laws truck which came without one. The vehicle was driven into Nellis, so I'm sure someone got a five finger discount.
I'm looking for a M1009 radio mount, the one that attaches to the inside next to the rear seat. Besides the classified here any good sources for this type of equipment?
