Thanks for the refresher; I got the pillar positions down pat, just all these little insulating parts.
Another one I ordered was a large piece for the inside of tunnel with a metal framework. Not only can I not find it, I can't figure out where it SHOULD mount.
I'm shipping all those parts...

About those "A"-pillar insulation blocks.
Same/similar question(s).
Part #12446850 Insulation, thermal, #45 on figure 227 of P-1 Technical Manual AND
Part #12446849 Insulation, thermal, #55 on same figure.
I'm doing my best to try and put in whatever...
Went out to hook up a feed line for a switch box (backups, interior lighting, fogs, cell phone charger) I'm puttering around with and found THIS:
Looks like Santa's little elves have been decorating.
got the batteries in about a week ago, didn't get the time to really finish up until today...
Thanks, both answers should help.
Worked today, work tomorrow (nine to nine), will bring in tomorrow night and bring to room temp, take a heat gun/hair dryer to it Saturday.
NB
"The things on the to-do list for this step of the project are to pull the rubber from the back of the doghouse, and hushmat the back then put the rubber back on. As well as hushmat some of the hood directly under the windshield."
I suspect you've gotten this installed already. Any tips on...
Seemed pretty straight-forward, maybe 55 degrees F ambient temp contributed, but without tearing the thing, or tearing my hair out, or two extra sets of hands, I couldn't get the gasket on my doghouse yesterday.
I did search. found four pages of non-related topics here.
Does anyone have...
It's why I dug up the diagram.
Hold part #12 and part # 7 with small pliers and they unthread (there aren't any threads shown on the drawing where the parts meet, but they're there).
Another tip, push the PINS towards the back (the wire end) one at a time. Find something like a split pin...
I have a '92 (mfd 12/91, says '93 on the title) M998 HMMWV and among the things that are toast is the heater motor.
I've found three separate numbers.
6105012116635 30266 figure 333 of the P-1 manual.
6105014635260 30042 is the NEW (marked with *) model.
I haven't taken the motor out yet...
Thanks for the reply. I "missed" winning by fifty bucks. Found one locally for about the same price. Am currently in the throes of insulating and wiring in backup and interior lighting and trying to figure out how to clear out my garage so I can pull this in about 8 feet and get under the...

I did a websearch for "US military ID plate font" and came up with a LOT of pictures, nothing on which specific font should be used (san serif, times roman, or pica size, nothing).
There's likely to be a printer's user's group or website where, if...
Filled up Friday, Saturday AM I was doing something with the batteries and smelled diesel fuel.
Took a minute to track down the source. Apparently, along with most all the other rubber parts on this truck (1993 M998 6.2L), the hose is broken down and being parked on a slight slope (rear end...
Took out the old failed batteries, sanded/painted (black zinc primer from RAPCO) the floor and sides of the box, put some 1/4-20 threaded rivets into 3" strips of 1/8" aluminum ('cause it's what I had on hand), drilled floor for pop rivets, slathered plates with black silicone rubber, put in...
Got a closer look at the "tabs" today. Both of them look like this. It IS a modern column, like the one on the right, with brackets intact, just the lower end is all buggered. Anyone ever seen one go bad like this? Would BIG washers help prevent it from happening again or just transfer the...
I got a good look at the bottom of the column while trying to remove the - frozen - allen head cap screws. The "slot" is like a fish hook. I suspect this design was changed early on due to breakage, much like the beefed up side brackets. I'd bought a bolt kit after trying to get the shorter...
I looked in classifieds for these. Is this the complete "kit"? nuts, bolts, brackets? I'd really like to get this all in one fell swoop, just do it and move on to other things like insulation, heater motor (dead, hooked up directly to batteries today, zero, zip, nada), get the high back seats...
Which model though? 57K3216?
My Humvee was delivered 12/91 but the title says '93, go figure. The column in place has the slots/tabs that break.
Just want to make sure before I lay out another $200 for the (updated?) kit.
Thanks again.
I took my 3 week old Humvee out today for gas and to get a free lunch at Mission BBQ. Didn't make it. Had replacing batteries (and upgrading alternator to the 200A model sitting in my garage with mounting kit) with Optima D34s (32s? the ones that use the 6TL adapter plates I bought) on my...
Been trying to decide on which "flavor" of Dynamat to buy. Or Kool-mat. Or Noico. Which one did you use and how many square feet (about) have you installed? Did it help?
Thanks in advance.
