My speakers arrived today along with my wire antenna.
They are indoor/outdoor mini box speakers rated to 200w. I got two pairs, cheap and pretty good reviews about volume and durability for such a compact size.
Antenna is a marine wire antenna which will be run up the windshield frame, it was...
Here is the head unit I'll be using, bought it used off of Craigslist. It's the same one I'm using in my jeep and I really like it, and for $30 I couldn't pass it up. Has an auxiliary input for my smartphone and a USB socket for controlling or charging Ipods and other media devices.
Here is a link to the speakers I picked up, they are indoor/outdoor 200w.
I wanted speakers in their own enclosures so I wouldn't have to build any from scratch. Two will mount in the rear corners of the cab and two more maybe on the top of the windshield frame...
Hey Fellas!
Thought I would share the progress I'm making on my Stereo install.

This will mount...

Yes the lights are 12 volt wired in series for half of the truck's voltage, the bulbs are very common and cheap so I decided to just go that route instead of the 24 volt. If I lose a bulb all I need to do is find out which one is bad.
Updating an oldie but a goodie, finally got a backup alarm installed. For two years the alarm switch has had no function but today I finished this job. The alarm is a universal 112db unit that I found on that popular auction site. Installation went very smooth and it is very loud! (traditional...
Okay so first I replaced the bad battery with a known good one (from my jeep) and the buzzer, horn and everything else was operating perfectly. The gauge was still reading in the yellow and my output at the alternator was around 25 volts.
The battery is an Ever-Start Maxx from Wal-Mart, it was...
I would say it depends on how much you need the parts vs weather or not you want another runner in your collection, or if you can flip it and make some of your money back.
