Data tag says 'Generator, DC 60 amps'. After my engine swap I had to polarize it to get anything out of it, afterwards my gauge was well into the green.
Yeah I checked it again today, the low battery was at 8.4 and the high was reading 12.1 volts. Looks like I will at least need a new battery...
Hey fellas!
Hoping for some answers on an issue I'm having with my electrical system.
The other day I went to start my truck (it had been sitting for about two weeks). Turned on the master switch and got no air buzzer, hit the start button and got nothing. I charged up the batteries (thinking...
Guys, if you just can't get enough of NH come on up to the huge Barrington truck show in August. Pretty good military turn out but we could always use more!
Sunday August 17th Behind Calef's Store, Rt 9/125, Barrington NH, 8-4pm
That was Jeep Nasty if I'm not mistaken, great guy and wicked awesome truck. I got to talk to him about the build and and his sweet Behr paint job.
Here are some pictures from the day (Saturday). Had a great time and talked to some awesome guys, thanks Matt for the big truck trail ride it was tons of fun!
Look for me Mid-morning-ish. I'll have the M116A2 and the MEP-002A just in case anyone is in the market for a generator. I'll also be looking for a couple turn/brake bulbs if anyone happens to be selling them.
Would a Deuce be your ONLY vehicle? How many miles are you driving weekly?
I think the question of POSSIBLE daily driver has been answered before, but the title of the thread is PRACTICAL. Any vehicle can be a possible daily driver if you have the means to fuel it, maintain it, register/inspect...
Many might not care about this, but the deuce (bobbed or not) can be downright uncomfortable sometimes. I love my truck (A2) but would go nuts if I HAD to drive it everywhere. The constant shifting for red lights and sharp turns gets old after a couple hours, and I KNOW mine really hates stop...
cpenni, I had this same problem.
When I removed my generator to weld on a new mounting tab (I snapped the other one clean off over tightening the mounting bolt). The generator was giving me nothing, turned out it needed to be polarized. Worked perfect after that.
I wanted to bump this thread because I think there is a lot of great info on tire safety.
I had a question; are the lock rings most likely to blow off after a tube / tire change or can it happen at any time? I was given a mounted tire that had no air in it, I just want to make sure I take all...
This has happened to me twice, once because the pumping cavity fell apart inside the tank and another time because the pump overheated. Both times I could hear the pump trying to run. I saw a great mod a while ago, an air valve on the tank that let you re prime with your onboard air in the event...
There have been days when I wanted to roll my truck off a cliff because of a broken brake line, inoperable fuel pump and non-charging generator....
Then I read this and think.... wow
Even when my engine blew up I was only a few miles from home, I was able to drive it to work and leave it in...
Hey fellas! For the generator guys (because I'm not terribly familiar with them).
I have a friend who recently lost his father, he has been placed with the responsibility of picking through his stuff and asked if I could identify this generator for him. He says his father thought it came from...
