Ways to make a deuce quieter and warmer in the cab.

The most effective way to quiet a deuce is right at the audible input area. You can reduce it quite a bit but unlikely to get it comfortable without re-routing the exhaust out the back and major insulation. It's never going to be comfy, that was the absolutely the last consideration of the design.

Low air pressure warning buzzer drives me crazy.

A warning light is a great way to supplement the low air warning buzzer but in no way shape or form should one be used to replace the buzzer. If it's driving you crazy it's doing exactly what it was designed to do. I can say from experience that when you have your hands full negotiating traffic...

    Two batteries, one tray.

2 in one? 4 in 2? What's the difference! LOL. See below http://www.steelsoldiers.com/showthread.php?20962-So-You-Want-Sound-In-That-CUCV&highlight=

    CUCV four color MERDC camo?

If you don't mind, that would be great. Logistics would likely be cost prohibitive.

Yet another CUCV charging issue: overcharging

Unnecessarily complicated? Yikes. Any 12 V alternator can suffer a regulator failure. The system is only marginally more complicated but has many benefits.

    Changes to the classifeds

I hear you Steve and mostly I agree. If everyone that used the classifieds was brimming with good character I could see it remaining the way it is. Sadly, when the forum or community gets to this size, we get some bad apples. The other things is that the good info ends up going by the wayside...

LSSV: 2005 Chevy Crew Cab, Fl to VA and back.

GT4 and G80. 4.10s and a gov lock?? Odd, the VIN appears to be a 3/4 ton.

    Changes to the classifeds

Another thing for all to consider is the fact that you can request the forum to send a PM or an Email. Most of the time you need to send an email to Gimpy as his PM box is full. If there is something urgent that I'm looking to buy I often send both.

trans fluid change out using Mityvac pump

Many of the CUCVs have had their pans replaced with HMMWV pans which have the drain. Both of mine have a drain plug.

    Great news on the registration.

    Changes to the classifeds

I don't believe anyone is upset here. There are a number of factors and issues that have occured behind the scenes. If we seem to be leaning one way or the other, it is because of those issues. In the same regard, no one has forced anyone to use the classified section. If one wants to use it...

    Changes to the classifeds

I'm all for this. If a seller has satisfied customers that have purchased the same item, let them seek permission from the buyer to list them as happy customers in their sales thread. Puts the leg work on the seller. Sometimes when you offer something for sale you have to actually engage in...

    M101A2 Height Question

The M105A3 with surge brakes is a very viable option. Also, the M101A3 (unless cobbled together from parts) is a 1 ton trailer. I took the HMMWV tires and rims off mine to make the height more manageable.

    M101A2 Height Question

Another thing to consider is the inside width between the fenders. It's only 45". My golf cart won't fit in there. The M101A3 has 55" in there and it fits fine in the A3. If you need more space you may consider putting the M105A2 box on the M101A2 frame (M116A2). The box has extra width...

    CUCV four color MERDC camo?

Man o man, I'd love to get my hands on this truck. I need exactly that, a cab/chassis without axles for my next project. Yikes!
