You can do it by hand, but it is real nice to have an impact! Just make sure to get the insurance...and a bottle of air tool oil. HF has the 12pc? impact socket set with the budd adaptor as well, very reasonable. Have fun!

Napa has the glad hands, in all the colours you would care to want, for about $3.95each. You can then go to HF and get a air line, inflator/guage, & fittings. If I remember correctly, I spent all of $28 clams for the whole setup.
