You can do that but you need to flip the hubs. There is several articles about flipping the rear hubs to single them out. Try the search or google. Maybe Clinto will post some links.
Here a list of what I did before an hour trip
1. Check spring vents to axles tc and trans
2. Check all fuild levels. If they look brown change them
3. Lube air pack this is a must
4. Fuel filters need to be good.
5. Air Filter check or replace
6.grease all fitings, include in the bell housing

I was looking at a non-winch at first. During a preview at a GL lot a dealer convinced that a winch is a must and it's always cheaper to buy a truck with the opitions you want.
After owning my truck almost a year I have only used the winch once.
No air shift means it's a sprag. Sprag is an automatic transfer case that engages automatically when the rears slip. However, in the real world they are known to fail. My advice would be to read up on the manuals and make sure it's (the sprag) is adjusted properly. Try googleing Sprag
:ditto:I agree owning an MV requires maintenance and resources. Posting for help multiple times for a simple jump start concerns me that you may be over your head.
If I had to guess there is air in the fuel system again because of low fuel. I reccomend keeping the tank full as much as possible.
Missing parts and mismatched colors could indicate it was a parts truck. I would call the GL site rep and ask a couple questions.
I purchased mine without an inspection because i heard great things about the trucks coming out of Frankfort. I was lucky and consider it to be one of the best...
I agree could be pump problems. If i open my drain valve on the primary fuel is literaly shoting out. Last time it did not take more than 20 seconds to fill my filters and purge the air.
I run 100% diesel with an additive
Good luck.
I would take these items.
1. Air Filter
2. Fuel FIlters
3. Belts all three
4. Batteries (unless you do a preinspection and they good then jumper cables)
5. Can of sea foam to lube controls into IP
6. Grease gun
7. Jack
8. Air impact with adpater
9. Six new spring vents to replace
10. Gear oil...
Why not keep the multifuel and turn up the fuel. The single out the rear and add larger tires (395's?). That would make one good looking deuce with out all the cuting. The additional fuel would help with the larger tires.
I normally just air down the tires on my truck and it performs excellent...
