front leaf spring sizes? searched already

One thing I certianly can tell you is that the front springs are not 56" long. they should be 48" long and the rears should be 52" long. If you go to a spring shop and have them build you a set of stock replacements im guessing it will be alot cheaper than haveing the chevy dealer get them for...

    Revamped M1031

That sounds awesome. I just got done putting a 16000 pound class 4 hitch on mine. Unfortunately there was alot of alteration involved to get the thing on. I didn't cut the shackle mounts or anything but I did have to cut the hitch mounts up a little. All in all it should still hold as much...

    Revamped M1031

Looks really good[thumbzup] Did you build that yourself? I drive my 1028 with a contact body everywhere and always have to park way out at the end of pretty much every parking lot because it's imposible to see behind it to back up. Lol guess the flatbead takes care of that issue.

    tires again

You should be good to run 1100X16s on the street and do some light wheeling too. I ran a set of 36X14.50-R15s on my civilian blazer for a couple years. I used that truck to commute from way out in the sticks all the way into the city every day with no major issues. You may want to get good at...

    Battery hook-up

A battery seperator comes in handy too sometimes. I got one because I got so dang tired of haveing to disconect and reconect the batteries every time there is a chargeing issue. If you get one of these make sure your hood will clear it before you slam it shut though lol.

M1009 engine temp and fuel heater

The fuel heater keeps the fuel warm so that it will flow through the filter without fouling it with wax crystals. I just had a heck of a time wireing the fuel heater in on my racor spin on.

    michelin xm47s

Been looking at tires on michelins website for my mud boggin truck lately and I found something interesting. Michelin makes a tractor type tire called the xm47 that is rated at 55mph. They call it a highspeed tractor tire and say that it will run that fast for extended periods over pavement. I...

    6.5L in a M1009?

Wow a NEW 6.5L. I'd call that a PLEASN'T surprise:-D Can't believe whoever sold you that didn't use the new more powerful engine swap angle to ask an outlandish price for it. Where did you get it from??? And also I agree with Westech a stock cucv radiator will cool the 6.5L NTD just fine.
