Type straight exaust into the search feature. someone posted some pics of an M1008 with large dual stacks on it. It also had a home made flat bed to go with them. All in all it looked ok and was running around some base in Iraq.
I've thought about replaceing mine before. Im guessing that modulator is an adjustable one??? My trans shifts really really early. It is in 3rd gear by the time im doing like 15mph or so. I've been just putting it in drive2 and manually shifting into 3rd at the rpm that I want it to shift at...
Ugh...Installing a heater core is a breeze like they say but you definately want to get your original one rebuilt. when I replaced my heater core the parts place gave me some almost useless pos that was about half the thickness of the original one too. I went ahead and put that thing in but you...
If you can afford it then I'd say go ahead and get ahold of http://www.boyceequipment.com/ and have them send you a set of locked 1ton's with the pearches relocated for a M1009. They will weld pearches on the rear for you if you tell them it's for a M1009. Im not an expert on the gm 10bolt front...
Nope I don't have that piece. The truck that I got all this stuff off of had the resonator mounted on top of the inner fender and I think it was supposed to be drawing air in from the side of the truck. Im not sure if that truck had something like your air baffle or not. If so then it was...
I'd say overall this is a purdy good upgrade. It DOES cut down that drone noise alot. One of the main reasons I wanted to find a resonator setup was so I could hear my straight through mufflers even better lol. Once I found a junkyard resonator I wound up haveing to buy everything elese that...
Hey Ken... No prob I got some close ups here. The hose that is round on one end and oval on the other is the stock 6.5L hose that came with the 6.5L air cleaner housing and resonator. I got all those things at a junkyard off of another truck. What I did then was I extended the round end of the...
Went back and found the link to that article about that blazer with the NP203 overdrive. Here it is. BC4x4.COM four wheel drive, 4x4, offroad and fourwheeling site. This guy's truck is very interesting.
I was curious about the NP203 overdrive myself. I googled reverse NP203 overdrive and was able to find an article about someone who used this reversed 203/205 setup on his blazer. The article says that useing that set up will cut your gear ratio in half which would be to high for a cucv. I guess...
I have never used a filter without the foam pre-filter since I built a ram-air for my truck and want the foam to keep rain drops from getting all the way into the motor. I suspect that one posible purpose of the foam is to quiet down the engine a little bit too. If any of you have ever started...
Dang man!!! If your glow plugs are staying on for like a whole minute or so I would definately just say ta-heck with it and wire them manually at that point. I would have guessed that if they stayed on for that long the tips would have over heated and broke off. If you do the manual gp...
Hey gimpyrobb are those HMMWV manifolds or are they for the later year serpentine belt civi 6.2s??? Also sharecropper if you decide to change to a single plane manifold there might be some issues with getting it to sit all the way down on top of the motor. you might have to saw a little or notch...
Yeah thats what you need. There's places out there that will build you a 4L80e with all that stuff and then buy a compushift. Originally I was gonna put a 4L80e and that np205 in my civi blazer but I got carried away and it kinda turned more into a competition vehicle. I still need a trans for...
In responce to truck0590. What you need is one of these. This is a billet adapter for a 2wd 4L80e to a figure 8 style np205. Wish your th400 worked good then we could barter and haggle since I live in the next town down from you and am looking for a th400.
That is strange. When I converted my truck to a spin on filter I noticed a little bit of black smoke when I reved it up slightly in park. It seemed to go away after I drove it a couple times. Seemed like the big spin on filter made mine run nicer though.
One thing you could try that might be interesting since you are gonna take the oil pan off is to paint the outside of it with some of that sound deadening stuff. I've been wondering for a while if that would quiet down the diesel rattle any. Has anyone else tried that or is it more of a dumb idea???
For THE G MAN. I got them from National Tire And Wheel www.NTWonline.com. And mtjbrown. I mounted those tires out here at my house with a set of old antique tire spoons from like the 1940s. They are not balanced. Shocker is that they ride amazingly smooth. There is no vibration and you can let...
