Why not just run a siphon line or even a common "low line" between the tanks and use one pump, one accurate fuel level sender, and forget about it? The tanks will equalize with simple, sweet, reliable, and FREE gravity.
If you really want to push the fuel around, you could even use a little...
You're 100% correct. Labor ceases to be a factor when the manufacturing is automated... soon the transport costs and quality issues will bring production back... BUT that can only be true if the regulation and tax costs are lowered here. Right now, the labor could be free and it would still be...
Wow... I was way off on the shipping quotes. I was getting listings of $800-no joke-$2000 to ship 1500lbs on 2 pallets. That's truck freight? I've never had to ship without fortune 500 company price discounts.
Thanks for the info!! I'm trying to budget my truck related purchases and figure out...
The D can flow more air.
The fuel is the same from the same pump with the same settings...
So no, the D does not make any more power on a given engine.
Both the C and the D outflow the engine.
You are going to need to use the search function, this turbo question is asked by 75% of the new...
But they PROTECT US!!!! THINK OF THE CHILDREN!!!!
Whatever you do, don't think about why those who currently fund the politicians would benefit from these regulations, or how much overtime/budget increases/bribery opportunities the bureaucrats get to selectively enforce them... 'cause that...
Anybody know of some good local salvage locations that might have a source on 395-85 r 20s or FMTV wheels? I'm looking at deuce driving distance from the Michigan-Indiana border.
Tires don't have to be new... in fact I would prefer 50% tread. I keep seeing you southern guys and the dude in...
Put your truck in the air... all axles free to turn as if on ice... set your parking brake and spin a tire.. like one side hit traction.
Tell me what you see when you get done.
Here is a question then:
How much more are you willing to pay?
Is it worth it to you to track down and buy the USA part for +20%, sure. +50%? 100%?
For bearings and such from major parts houses, you will be getting some mexican, chinese, taiwanese, parts and a few USA. Seals and gaskets are...
Tanner, do you remember why convertibles were all but gone for a decade? Nader and the moronic goon squad instilled the fear of god into Detroit that they didn't offer protection in roll-overs. Wow... a car with no roof isn't great in a rollover. There wasn't a **** thing wrong with the Corvair...
Like Dave said... we sold a LOT of chinese parts. Was the failure rate high? It was worse 10 years ago. Now, I would have to say it's liveable. As we become more automated, the quality of a chinese production robot running a program will be about as good as an American robot running the same...
Pre 1981 nothing had a "standard" 17 digit VIN... My Fairlane doesn't. I'm quite certain kit cars do not either. Both are handled easily by our "DMV." I can't help but think other states should be similar.
How does it threaten car salesmen/manufacturers? The same way the MUTT Jeeps threatened...
Offroad in a light crawler? Sure.
On-road as service brakes? Not a chance.
I am considering a couple as "Emergency" brakes... as in if all else fails... it might get me stopped ONE TIME. But, only because I can build them for <$500.
If I had the tools and cash, I would just swap on disks...
 This has been covered a few times.
One other issue... besides the sheer amount of energy you are asking those pinion brakes to handle... is, unless you have full lockers, the tires could still turn via the differential in opposite directions during "Lock up" braking.
He is from Portage here in Michigan and commutes down to Indiana to the plant that makes/made H2's. As far as I know he still has a job there. I could have sworn he said AM General.

Maybe they are going to do something new. He's in Dealer...
Who gives a rat's hind end what some moronic paper-pusher says in a letter or otherwise?
If they give you any guff about a title, say "I made it myself from parts." If they say you didn't... and there is no way for them to know or prove ANYTHING even if they wanted to... take a tire off, take a...

Any updates or additions to the split bench swap options?
I was curious how the auto/truck split benches rode compared to the springer/air ride seats. I would like to retain the 3 person capability, but up the comfort level a bit.
Grey area on the rules, I guess....
Personally, I say thank you!! These reviews of sellers can really save a guy from driving a long distance just to get screwed with. The added bonus that it's a fellow SS is even better.
Actually, we have an entire forum of this stuff "Salvage Yard Reviews"....
