A3 wheels are standard 6lug pattern, the HEMMT wheels are 10lug and need to have the centers modified to fit a deuce. I think there are alot of people online confusing two piece, bolt together wheels and beadlocks.

Ive been thinking of that, I haven't come up with a way to "pin" it down for travel yet, but Im thinking of some sort of spring loaded latch tied to a pull rope and lever so I could just lock the brakes, pull the rope and back-up, all from the cab.

I'd take that piece,(and the other side) cut them off and re-weld them (actually rebuild them) so they are inline with the frame rails. That would eliminate the stress from using the trailer for dumping.

The a2 doesn't use a lunette with a nut on the back. The lunette is part of the surge brake on an a2.
