Uh, nope. I cut the tongue off about 6" forward of the spring hanger for the bob job so Thats all I had to work with and just went with it. If the brakes dont hold well enough to push up a full load of gravel I guess I'll just get out and put some chocks behind the tires and try that. If that...
A3 wheels are standard 6lug pattern, the HEMMT wheels are 10lug and need to have the centers modified to fit a deuce.
I think there are alot of people online confusing two piece, bolt together wheels and beadlocks.
Ive been thinking of that, I haven't come up with a way to "pin" it down for travel yet, but Im thinking of some sort of spring loaded latch tied to a pull rope and lever so I could just lock the brakes, pull the rope and back-up, all from the cab.
I know this has been harped on but maybe its time to send out a blanket PM message to ALL members concerning the rules. I have a feeling there are several (thousands) of members who only log in every once in a while that probably dont know whats been going on lately with the rule...
Heres some more pics. Bare-in-mind as I said before Im no fabricator and only had my Oxy/Ac. torch and scrap metal left over from the bob job.
I boxed the frames where I welded on the 1/4" plate, then took some 1" solid stock and some 1" I.D. tubing and made the hinges. I plan to drill the...
The only thing similar that I saw was the M101 I have. So I decided to build something similar but has the hinge points parallel to the frame.
(pics coming)
100% M715, well 99.9% if you take away for it being FD red.
I dont think you want to see the craptastic welds on the pivots. (I'm no fabricator)
I'll get some better pics in the morning.
I'd take that piece,(and the other side) cut them off and re-weld them (actually rebuild them) so they are inline with the frame rails. That would eliminate the stress from using the trailer for dumping.
I had a complete M105a2 with the bed removed (the bed is mounted on treated 4x4's and I park my mower in it) and the tongue from the M105 I cut up to make the bobbed truck. I decided I had enough scrap laying around and could use a dump trailer for gravel/dirt/mulch. I still have some work to...
The unit turning in the truck usually give that info and drmo and GL just go with it.
Ive seen trucks at Ft Riley that have does not start or no brakes written on the door and asked about them and was told it was turned in that way.
You obviously didnt read them very closely the second time either.

1. 8lug chevy rim. I dont know if thats the same as your dodge.
2. pay no attention to that code. its useless as far as buying surplus trucks and trailers. If you can't preview in person see if you can get someone local to the sale to go look. You can usually tell by the pics if it has major...
Getting close. Whos going? I need to get the axle seal replaced on the bobber and I'm sure (much to the wifes dismay) I doubt I'll have it sold by then. Might have to bring it down.
